Objectives: The aim of this study is to examine the effect of type of delivery and anesthesia method on the screening ABR test results of newborns within the scope of the Newborn Hearing Screening Program (NHCP) and to investigate the relationship between the test results and the relevant variables.
Methods: 441 newborns were included in the study. Of these newborns, 221 constituted the control group (normal (vaginal) delivery), and 220 constituted the study group (cesarean section, delivery).

(1) Background: Acute ischemic stroke treatment has been thoroughly studied to identify strategies to reduce treatment times. However, many centers still struggle to achieve fast treatment times. Additionally, studies primarily focus on larger, more advanced centers; yet, smaller centers often face longer treatment times.

Aim: Root canal treatment (RCT) is a common procedure practiced daily by dentists worldwide. The current systematic review aimed to evaluate and compare clinical studies on the quality of root canal fillings (RCFs) carried out by dentists with different levels of experience conducted worldwide with those conducted specifically in Saudi Arabia (SA).
Materials And Methods: A full literature search was conducted in Clarivate Analytics' Web of Science, Elsevier's Scopus, Embase, CINHAL, and PubMed, without a restriction to studies published before January 2015.
(1) Background: Restoring decayed teeth in young patients can be challenging. This calls for a simplification of the protocols through new biomaterials. Therefore, the aim of this study was to compare the marginal adaptation delivered by restorative materials applied on class II cavities by using a simplified protocol, before and after fatigue test, followed by the assessment of the internal adaptation.

The college phase is a critical period during which healthy behaviors are learned through lifestyle and social environment. College students are prone to increased stress, negatively affecting their daily activities and academic performance.

We investigated the genomic evolution of prostate cancer through the application of three separate classification methods, each designed to investigate a different aspect of tumor evolution. Integrating the results revealed the existence of two distinct types of prostate cancer that arise from divergent evolutionary trajectories, designated as the Canonical and Alternative evolutionary disease types.

Uncontrolled pain can result in opioid overuse and increased risks of long-term opioid dependence. The specific aim of this exploratory analysis was the prediction of severe acute pain and opioid use in the acute on-treatment setting, to develop risk-stratification models for pragmatic clinical trials.

Methods: This is a retrospective descriptive cross-sectional study carried out on a population of 66 patients with SCS, (36 S/S, 18 S/β-thalassemia, seven S/C and five S/O), over a period of two years.

The carob tree ( L.) is a significant fruit tree in the Mediterranean region with cultural, biological, and ecological importance. Despite its importance, intraspecific trait variability (ITV) in carob trees has been largely overlooked in previous studies.

In the present study we applied Whole Genome DNA Sequencing (WGS) to a group of morphologically normal tissue (n = 51), including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and non-BPH samples, from men with and men without prostate cancer. We assess whether the observed genetic changes in morphologically normal tissue are linked to the development of cancer in the prostate.

The current study seeks to validate the authors' previously published findings in a large contemporary cohort of patients with oropharynx cancer (OPC) and address limitations of the prior retrospective study using prospective, validated outcome measures.
Objective: To examine the longitudinal association of oral intake and swallowing exercise using validated, clinician-graded and patient-reported outcomes.
Background and objective Hypertension (HTN) is a common disease among patients who visit primary healthcare clinics. Uncontrolled HTN is associated with increased morbidity and mortality; therefore, awareness of its risk factors and adherence to treatment can lead to better control of HTN. In this study, we aimed to determine the level of adherence to treatment and satisfaction among Saudi hypertensive patients.

Polymorphism in portions of P. falciparum gene encoding kelch (K13)-propeller domains is associated with delayed parasite clearance after ACT.

Background: Studies have identified health care providers as an important determinant of vaccination acceptance. However, knowledge and attitudes toward vaccination have not been sufficiently studied in Saudi Arabia, especially among medical students. Therefore, we conducted this study to explore vaccination knowledge and attitudes among medical students at a large Saudi university.

Cd treatment reduced growth by declining the content of chlorophylls and carotenoids, photosynthesis, and gas exchange parameters. Exogenously, Kn and Spd application enhanced the photosynthetic parameters and up-regulated the antioxidant system by improving the activities of antioxidant enzymes and the content of non-enzymatic components.

Aim of this study is to investigate the age at onset of training in children admitted to our center with complaints of hearing and speech disorder, and the related factors.
Methods: In the first phase of the study, data of 473 children admitted to our center between January 2015 and October 2018 with complaints of hearing and speech disorders and no additional disability were retrospectively analyzed.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of hearing loss during early childhood on the development of children according to the age of diagnosis, amplification and training.
Methods: In the study, a total of 169 children with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, who have the chronological average age of 26.4 months, have been examined.
