Purpose: Interfacility hospital transfer for isolated mandibular fractures is common but rarely clinically necessary. The purpose of this study was to generate nationally representative estimates regarding the incidence, risk factors, and cost of transfer for isolated mandibular fractures.

Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study using the Nationwide Emergency Department Sample 2018 to identify patients with isolated mandibular fractures.

Purpose: Maxillomandibular advancement (MMA) is an accepted treatment modality for obstructive sleep apnea. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the incidence of complications requiring an intensive care unit (ICU) level of care and the necessity of routine overnight ICU airway monitoring after MMA.

Patients And Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study of patients undergoing MMA at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2003 to 2020.
