Background: The objective of this report is to present a case of two cervical spine artificial discs (Bryan Cervical Disk) that completely disappeared within 6 months as a result of a high-energy trauma more than 10 years after the initial surgery. Implant dislocation is a known complication in artificial cervical disc replacement. However, this report presents the case of an exceptional migration path with esophageal ingrowth and rectal excretion, not only for one artificial disc but for two at different times It highlights the need for long-term follow-up examinations after artificial cervical disc arthroplasty (ACDA).

We hypothesized that in AS patients electrocardiogram (ECG) LVH not only predicts echocardiography LVH but also other noninvasive and invasive markers of cardiac damage and prognosis after aortic valve replacement (AVR).
Methods: In 279 patients with severe AS undergoing ECG, echocardiography, and cardiac catheterization before AVR, the Sokolow-Lyon index, the Cornell product, the Romhilt-Estes score, and the Peguero-Lo Presti score were assessed.

Inhibition of serum and glucocorticoid regulated kinase-1 (SGK1) reduces the APD at 90% repolarization (APD90) in induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (iPSC-CMs) derived from patients with congenital long QT syndrome.

Cenobamate is an antiseizure medication for uncontrolled focal seizures. This thorough QT study assessed the effects of therapeutic and supratherapeutic cenobamate doses (maximum recommended dose, 400 mg/day) on correct QT interval (QTc) in healthy adults (N = 108) randomly assigned to 1 of 3 treatments: (A) cenobamate (days 1-63) up-titrated by 50-mg increments weekly to a 200 mg/day therapeutic dose (day 35) and then by 100 mg weekly to a 500 mg/day supratherapeutic dose (day 63), with placebo-moxifloxacin (days -1 and 64); (B) moxifloxacin 400 mg (day -1; positive control), placebo-cenobamate (days 1-63), and placebo-moxifloxacin (day 64); and (C) placebo-moxifloxacin (day -1), placebo-cenobamate (days 1-64), and moxifloxacin 400 mg (day 64).
