The obtained nanoarchitectonics were fully characterized. The XRD results indicate the presence of a Zincite phase for ZnO-NPs and Zincite accompanied by a minor amount of zinc hydroxide for PP/ZnO-NPs samples.

The current study evaluated the effects of TVC on the length of re-admission stays within 12 months follow up post-TVC compared to phone call follow up or COPD usual care in a randomized study. Our secondary aim was to assess the impact of TVC on the frequency of re-admissions within 12 months of follow up.

The present study report that the propolis extract (PE) was produced by ethanol in the surrounding environment. The obtained PE was added at different concentrations to cellulose nanofiber (CNF)/poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA), and subjected to freezing thawing and freeze drying methods to develop porous bioactive matrices.

Inhibition of BTK hyperactivity is implicated in B-cell malignancies and autoimmune diseases. This review derives the structural complementarity of the BTK-kinase domain and its inhibitors from recent three-dimensional structures of inhibitor-bound BTK in the protein data bank (PDB).

Recent studies reported the association between altered gut microbiota and metabolic disorders like diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Here, we aimed to investigate the gut-heart axis in an experimental animal model where we developed a novel therapeutic combination of dapagliflozin, crocin prebiotic and Lactobacilli probiotic to correct induced diabetic cardiomyopathy.

This study highlights the importance of cubosomes as a drug delivery system in enhancing the bioavailability of nifuroxazide (NXZD), a poorly soluble STAT3 inhibitor.

Because of the complexity of PF pathological mechanisms, filling such an unmet medical need is challenging. A number of pulmonary diseases have been linked to the activation of NF-κB and the NLRP3 inflammasome.

Familial HLH (FHL) is a fatal disorder and determining gene mutations is a good guide for predicting the prognosis and choosing treatment options. This study aimed to illustrate the clinical, laboratory characteristics, including perforin gene mutation screening, treatment and survival outcome of pediatric HLH patients.

Design: Prospective randomized study.
Methods And Subjects: Eighty-one participants with glaucoma after ocular surgery or secondary glaucoma with persistent and uncontrolled IOP > 21 mmHg were randomized for placement of BGI or AGV models using a standardized surgical technique.
Aims: Evaluation of failure rate and outcomes between skin and muscle surgery and lamellar tarsectomy procedure in major trichiasis of the upper lid.
Design: Quasi-randomized clinical study.
Methods And Subjects: One hundred individuals with major trichiasis of the upper lid were enrolled and assigned to either skin and muscle surgery (group A) or a lamellar tarsectomy procedure (group B).
A simple, sensitive and rapid micellar liquid chromatographic method was developed and validated for simultaneous determination of four drugs, namely, paracetamol (PAR), tizanidine (TZD), aceclofenac (ACF) and nimesulide (NMD). Good chromatographic separation was achieved using Cyano column and micellar mobile phase consisting of 120 mM sodium dodecyl sulfate, 25 mM phosphate buffer and 10% (V/V) butanol. The pH was adjusted to three using phosphoric acid.

It also prolongs hospital stay and drives up hospital costs. Measures employed in preventing ventilator-associated pneumonia in developing countries are rarely reported.

Another aim of the study was to evaluate the differences in the pathophysiology between pallid and cyanotic types of BHS. This was a prospective study performed in Zagazig University Hospitals.

Aims Of The Study: To assess the role of N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) and tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) as early predictors of late onset cardiotoxicity in asymptomatic survivors of childhood cancer treated with doxorubicin with or without mediastinal irradiation.
Methods: A cross-sectional study on 58 asymptomatic survivors of childhood cancer who received doxorubicin in their treatment protocols and 32 asymptomatic Hodgkin's lymphoma survivors who received anthracycline and mediastinal irradiation.
Background: The diagnosis of epilepsy should be made as early as possible to give a child the best chance for treatment success and also to decrease complications such as learning difficulties and social and behavioral problems. In this study, we aimed to assess the ability of magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) in detecting the lateralization side in patients with Temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) in correlation with EEG and MRI findings.
Methods: This was a case-control study including 40 patients diagnosed (clinically and by EEG) as having temporal lobe epilepsy aged 8 to 14Â years (mean, 10.

In recent years, iron-deficiency anemia (IDA) has been suggested to have an association with childhood-onset ischemic stroke in otherwise healthy children, but few cases have proven it thus far. In this study, we aimed to investigate whether iron-deficiency anemia is a risk factor for cerebrovascular events and childhood-onset ischemic stroke in previously healthy children. This was a case-control study that included 21 stroke cases with patients who had previously been generally healthy, and matched with age and gender of 100 healthy control subjects.
