[The role of the duodenojejunal flexure in regulating the motor evacuatory function of the duodenum].

The authors studied the macro- and microstructure of the Treitz ligament and duodenojejunal flexure in 92 cadavers. The variants of the Treitz ligament diversion from the duodenojejunal flexure, its topographic anatomy are described. The effect of the Treitz ligament transection on evacuatory function of the duodenum in 3 dogs was studied.

[Studies of complex lipids. Synthesis of ionophore derivatives of diphosphatidylglycerol (cardiolipin)].

Synthesis of cardiolipin analogues containing an ionophore residue in the fatty acid moiety is described. The ionophore, dibenzo-18-crown-6, has been incorporated into second position of the glycerol residue by acylating mono- and dilysocardiolipin with a modified fatty acid anhydride. Lyso-derivatives of cardiolipin have been prepared by enzymatic hydrolysis of beef heart cardiolipin by snake venom phospholipase A2 (Naja naja oxiana).

[Surgical treatment of acute erosions and ulcers of the digestive organs complicated by profuse hemorrhage].

Under analysis were results of the surgical treatment of 32 patients with bleeding acute ulcers and erosions of organs of digestion. The analysis has shown that the most effective procedures for this pathology are devascularization of the stomach and vagotomy in combination with suturing and ligation of sources of the bleeding.

[Prognosis of the long-term results of selective proximal vagotomy].

A selective proximal vagotomy risk map was created on the basis of risk factors of selective proximal vagotomy (SPV). The severity of initial state of the patient was determined by the map and expressed in scoring system. Four degrees of risk of unfavourable remote results of the operative procedure were established.

[Functions of the stomach after parasympathetic denervation of the fundus and uncoupling of the fundus and antral portions].

Selective proximal vagotomy (SPV) evoked the same alterations in the motility of fundal part of the dog stomach as truncal vagotomy. Within 2-3 months the fundal motility was completely normalized. If the SPV were carried out with preserved innervation in the cardial zone, the motility restoration was accelerated to 7-10 days.

[State of the gastric mucosa at remote periods after stomach resection and organ-sparing operations in duodenal ulcer].

Under analysis were results of examination of the morpho-functional state of gastric mucosa in late periods (5--12 years) after resection of the stomach in 109 patients and after selective proximal vagotomy (SPV) in 32 patients. The possibilities for the development of gastric cancer after SPV were not considered.
