This research paper focused on enhancing the physico-chemical attributes, antioxidant capacity, and antibacterial effectiveness of dry ginger extract through sonication as an assistant extraction treatment. Ginger, resulting from the rhizome of Roscoe, is known for its culinary and medicinal uses outstanding to its antioxidant and antimicrobial possessions from phenolic acids and flavonoids. The study explored the use of sonication as an assistant extraction method and found that it significantly augmented the total phenolic content of the ginger extract by 28 % compared to traditional extraction methods, reaching 10.

We propose a scheme to control the Goos-Hänchen (GH) shift of TE and TM reflected light beams in a double-prism structure, where a three-level Raman gain medium is filling the gap between the two prisms. We find that it is possible to control the GH shift in this structure by externally adjusting the optical properties of the Raman gain atomic medium while the gap width between the two prisms is fixed. Inspired by recent successful implementation of the double-prism configuration with an air gap to measure the GH shift, we expected that our proposal to control the GH shift can be achieved experimentally and used in different potential applications of the GH shift.

Turning and repositioning is considered one of the strategies to reduce the incidence of pressure injuries (PIs) among hospitalized patients, as it helps to redistribute and minimize direct pressure on the targeted skin and enhance blood perfusion in the affected areas. Cervical cancer remains a significant global health concern that starts in the cervix, the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina and is caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), necessitating the development of effective multitargeted effective and resistance-proof therapies. In early-stage cervical cancer may not show any symptoms, however, as the cancer progresses, some people may experience- abnormal vaginal bleeding, watery or bloody vaginal discharge, pain in the pelvis or lower back, pain during sex, and frequent and painful urination. To evaluate the effect of enamel conditioning methods, that is, total-etch and rinse (TER), Er,Cr:YSGG (ECYL), and photodynamic therapy (PDT) on the shear bond strength (SBS) of orthodontic metallic brackets bonded using Zirconium oxide experimental adhesive (ZOEA). Sixty human incisor buccal surfaces were cleaned and allocated into three groups based on the method of enamel surface treatment, that is, TER using 37% phosphoric acid gel, methylene blue photosensitizer activated by PDT and ECYL ( = 20 each). We study the Goos-Hänchen shift (GHS) of a reflected light beam from a cavity containing a double-[Formula: see text] atomic medium that is bounded by two glass slabs. Applying both coherent and incoherent fields to the atomic medium leads to positive and negative controllability of GHS. For some specific values of the parameters of the system, the amplitude of the GHS becomes large, namely, in the order of [Formula: see text] times the wavelength of the incident light beam.

In this study, pEGFP-LUC was used as a model plasmid and three distinct cationic lipids (dioleyloxy-propyl-trimethylammonium chloride [DOTMA], dioleoyl trimethylammonium propane [DOTAP], and cetylpyridinium chloride [CPC]) were tested along with PEG 5000, as a nonionic surfactant, to prepare glyceryl monostearate (GMS)-based cationic solid lipid nanoparticles (cSLNs). Both the type and quantity of surfactant had an impact on the physicochemical characteristics of the cSLNs. Thermal analysis of the greater part of the endothermic peaks of the cSLNs revealed they were noticeably different from the individual pure compounds based on their zeta potential (ZP ranging from +17 to +56 mV) and particle size (PS ranging from 185 to 244 nm).
