Background: At completion of transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy (t-PRK) surgery, the eye is usually fitted with a bandage contact lens to reduce discomfort and promote epithelial healing. This study aimed to compare the outcomes of eyes fitted with lotrafilcon B versus comfilcon A, silicone hydrogel bandage contact lenses after t-PRK for the correction of low to moderate myopia, with or without astigmatism.
Methods: In this comparative, prospective study, patients with myopia < -6 D with or without astigmatism (< 1.

Purpose: To evaluate the outcomes of argon laser photoablation of benign conjunctival pigmented nevi with different clinical presentations.
Patients And Methods: This interventional case series was conducted between July 2014 and January 2015. Patients presenting with benign conjunctival nevi were included.
Introduction: We compared the thickness of the peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) in patients with diabetic macular edema (DME) and/against the thickness in the normal population.
Methods: This cross-sectional study compared the RNFL thickness in patients with DME (DME group) using optical coherence tomography (OCT) to a comparable group of healthy (nondiabetic) patients (control group). Measurements were performed in different/the four peripapillary quadrants and in the macula region for the fovea, parafoveal, and perifoveal areas.
Purpose: To evaluate the effect of punctal plug use in preventing dry eye after laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK).
Materials And Methods: A randomized clinical trial at a tertiary eye care center, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Participants underwent LASIK for myopia in both eyes and a lower punctal occlusion in one eye only while the other eye served as control.
Purpose: To describe phenotyping and linkage analysis results for available members from a consanguineous nuclear family with hereditary congenital strabismus.
Methods: Both parents and all 12 children underwent clinical examination. Available affected and several unaffected family members had venous blood sampling for DNA extraction and 10K single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) genotyping (Affymetrix Gene Chip® Human).
We report a case of rapid regression of extensive posterior capsule neovascularization in a 67-year-old diabetic male patient, who developed posterior capsule opacity with neovascularization one year post cataract surgery, after a single injection of intravitreal bevacizumab (Avastin) followed by neodymium:YAG capsulotomy. Rapid regression of the posterior capsule neovascularization, and visual improvement was observed 9 days after the intervention. Posterior capsulotomy was performed successfully without bleeding.

Methods: Retrospective case series.
Results: An adult and two children (all unrelated) with clinical recessive cornea plana had gradual decrease in vision.
Myxomas, benign tumors of modified fibroblasts that produce small amounts of collagen but large amounts of glycosaminoglycans, typically occur in the left atrium of the heart or various soft tissues. Corneal myxoma is extremely rare, with only 8 previously reported cases to date, all of which were in individuals 26 years of age or older. The current report documents the clinical and histopathologic features of a 4-month-old girl with infantile corneal myxoma.
