Surrounding ipsilateral eruptive seborrheic keratosis as a warning sign of intraductal breast carcinoma and Paget's disease (Leser Trelat sign).

Paget disease of the breast, most often occurs in middle-aged women. Leser-Trelat sign is a rare cutaneous manifestation of internal malignancy that is usually associated with visceral-type adenocarcinoma. We report a patient with Paget disease of the nipple and intraductal carcinoma who presented with ipsilateral, eruptive grouped seborrheic keratoses of the areola and nipple of the breast.

Determination of survival and hazard functions for pemphigus patients in Kerman, a southern province of Iran.

Background: Pemphigus has in the past been associated with a high mortality rate. However, with the discovery of corticosteroids, patient median survival has improved. Our purpose was to assess median survival after confirmed diagnosis of pemphigus in patients in Kerman, a southern province of Iran.

Urticaria and lip fasciculation may be prodromal signs of brain malignancy.

The association of urticaria and cancer usually is seen with lymphoreticular system malignancies. Recalcitrant intra-nostril pruritus has been associated with fourth-ventricle tumors of the brain. Rarely, urticaria has been described with cancer of the lung, usually small-cell adenocarcinoma.

Alopecia areata in Darier disease and clinical findings in five affected family members.

A 32-year-old man known to have keratosis follicularis presented with a new problem of alopecia areata involving his scalp. His Darier disease had been present for 24 years and was manifested by pruritic eruptions that were more severe in the summer months. Other family members, including his father, brother, and two sisters suffered from similar skin manifestations.

Cryotherapy as a treatment for psoriasis.

There are very few publications on the use of cryotherapy in the treatment of psoriasis. We performed an evaluation to determine its efficacy in small plaque psoriasis. We selected 63 patients who had a clinical diagnosis of chronic plaque-type psoriasis and and for each patient we evaluated two psoriatic plaques of almost the same size and severity on similar areas of the body.

A 9-year old girl presented with a 2-year history of severe loss of subcutaneous fat in her face. Her medical history included a self-limited episode of jaundice and mild fever 2 years prior. Laboratory examination revealed low serum C3 but normal serum C4.

Grouped skin metastases from laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma and overview of similar cases.

Cutaneous metastases from internal malignancies or primary skin cancers are uncommon, particularly in a grouped pattern. We report a 58-year-old man with a known case of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma who underwent radiotherapy after surgical excision of the tumor. Unilateral, grouped, red-brown, vesicle-like nodules appeared on his shoulder 9 months after the laryngeal surgery.
