Unlabelled: The study aims to investigate various aspects of synthesized mono-chalcone compounds and concerning breast cancer, including network pharmacology, molecular docking, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, antiproliferative effects, and gene expressions. Initially, the compounds underwent a network pharmacology analysis targeting breast cancer-related targets, with MalaCards, SwissTargetPrediction, and PharmMapper identifying 70 breast cancer target receptors. Subsequently, protein-protein interaction (PPI) network analysis revealed two distinct target gene clusters.

Compounds with a chalcone scaffold-based structure have demonstrated promising anticancer biological activity. However, the molecular interactions between chalcone scaffold-based compounds and breast cancer-associated proteins remain unclear. Through network pharmacology, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics (MD) simulation analyses, compounds with a chalcone scaffold-based structure were evaluated for their interaction with potential breast cancer targets.

Several water and wastewater technologies have been implored for the removal of dyes during wastewater treatments; however; different types have been reportedly found in surface and groundwater systems. Hence, there is a need to investigate other water treatment technologies for the complete remediation of dyes in aquatic environments. In this study, novel chitosan-based polymer inclusion membranes (PIMs) were synthesized for the removal of malachite green dye (MG) which is a recalcitrant of great concern in water.

Venous vascular diseases are an important clinical entity estimated to affect several million people worldwide. Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a common venous disease with a population variable prevalence of 122 to 160 persons per 100,000 per year, whereas pulmonary embolism (PE) affects up to 60 to 70 per 100 000 and carries much higher mortality. Chronic venous diseases, which cause symptoms like leg swelling, heaviness, pain, and discomfort, are most prevalent in the elderly and significantly impact their quality of life.

The presence of dyes in the aquatic environment as a result of anthropogenic activities, especially textile industries, is a critical environmental challenge that hinders the availability of potable water. Different wastewater treatment approaches have been used to remediate dyes in aquatic environments; however, most of these approaches are limited by factors ranging from high cost to the incomplete removal of the dyes and contaminants. Thus, the use of adsorption as a water treatment technology to remove dyes and other contaminants has been widely investigated using different adsorbents.

Chitosan-deep eutectic solvent (DES) beads were prepared from chitosan and DESs. The DESs used were choline chloride-urea (DES A) and choline chloride-glycerol (DES B). Both chitosan-DES beads were used to remove malachite green (MG) dye from an aqueous solution.

Conjoined twins are rare and are classified as symmetrical or asymmetrical, in which a member, the host (autosite), is near normal and bears the parasite, which is incomplete, smaller, and fully dependent for growth on it. This form of conjoined twins is referred to as heteropagus and when attached to the epigastrium of the autosite is called epigastric heteropagus. Only 44 cases of epigastric heteropagus twins have been previously reported in the world literature.
