Background: Continuing medical education (CME) is an integral part of nursing professionalization, which can be effective in the development of nursing behavior. E-learning can play an important role in CME programs. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an E-learning program in increasing the nurses' knowledge and behavior regarding care for venous thromboembolism (VTE) patients.

In this study, a systematic review and meta-analysis were carried out in order to evaluate the pros and cons of both PAIR (Puncture, Aspiration, Injection, Respiration) and laparoscopic techniques by considering the outcomes of liver hydatid cysts.
Material And Methods: We designed descriptive Boolean queries to search two databases, PubMed and Scopus, to derive the articles published in the period of January 2000 to December 2016 in order to evaluate the outcomes of these research articles.
Early hospital mortality prediction is critical as intensivists strive to make efficient medical decisions about the severely ill patients staying in intensive care units (ICUs). As a result, various methods have been developed to address this problem based on clinical records. However, some of the laboratory test results are time-consuming and need to be processed.

Methods: Pooled false negative rate and detection rate were presented using Meta-Disc (version 1.4), and comprehensive meta-analysis (version 2).
We presented a 61-year-old man's surprising Tc-MDP whole-body blood pool superscan pattern with early unexpected generalized bone uptake. He complained of weakness and undesired weight loss with anemia and elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate. As a malignancy workup in a patient without obvious suspicious origin, a whole-body Tc-MDP bone scan was requested.

However, this opinion has been disputed with the thorough study of the rich medical literature of the medieval Islamic era. In the current review, the roots of clinical trial methodology have been traced back to the medieval Islamic tradition and the contribution of Islamic scholars in this field is discussed.

Progression of non-invasive methods such as bone densitometry has shown that an important ratio of CD cases is faced with impaired bone mass and such cases are prone to bone fractures. Variety of low bone mineral density in CD is probably because of ignored confounding factors such as age, menopause, and drug.

We reported a 71 years old woman, with history of rest and postural tremor, bradykinesia and memory problems. In her dynamic MRI, a contrast-enhanced tumor in the cerebellopontine (CP) angle was found which was compatible with a meningioma. Tc-TRODAT SPECT showed decreased activity in the left putamen, indicating idiopathic Parkinson disease.

The dried fig samples were artificially infested with O. surinamensis and then heated in a microwave oven (2,450 MHz) at power outputs of 450, 720, and 900 W for 20, 30, 40, and 50 s.

The aim of the current study was to evaluate the potential of antigenspecific expression of Monocyte Chemotactic Protein (MCP)-2 for discrimination of ATB and LTBI after stimulation of whole blood with PE35 and PPE68 recombinant proteins.
Materials And Methods: The recombinant PE35 and PPE68 proteins were evaluated at a final concentration of 5 µg/ml by a 3-day whole blood assay.

Breast-feeding initiation within the first half hour after birth is one of the World Health Organization recommendations. However, in most hospitals, mother-infant contact and breast-feeding initiation are delayed due to routine mother and infant care. This study aimed to determine the effect of mother-infant skin to skin contact (SSC) immediately after birth on the success rate and duration of the first breast-feeding.

The current meta-analysis was carried out to comprehensively investigate the prognostic significance of F-FDG-PET parameters in patients with anal SCC.
Methods: A comprehensive literature search of PubMed/MEDLINE and Scopus databases was performed to retrieve pertinent articles published until August 5th 2018, concerning the prognostic significance of F-FDG-PET in patients with anal SCC.
Background: There has been significant progress in eliminating malaria in Iran. The aim of this study is to investigate the structure of inter-organizational collaboration networks in the field of unauthorized immigrants and refugees access to services in order to eliminate malaria.
Methods: This study employed social network analysis, in which nodes represented stakeholders associated with providing access of immigrants and refugees to services in the field of malaria elimination, and ties indicated the level of collaboration.
The principal aims of this study were to explore genetic diversity and genome-wide selection signatures in Persian Arabian horses and to determine genetic relationship of Persian Arabians with other Iranian horse breeds. We evaluated 71 horses from 8 matrilineal strains tracing to 47 mares from the mid to late 19th century, using the equine 670k single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) BeadChip. Mean observed and expected heterozygosity were (0.

We compared lymphatic drainage pathways of the uterine cervix and uterine body in the same patients by head-to-head comparison of intracervical radiotracer and fundal blue dye injections.
Methods: All patients with pathologically proven endometrial cancer were included.
Aiming at designing efficient extraction processes, this work proposes the novel aqueous biphasic systems (ABS) composed of sugars and alcohols. The complete liquid-liquid phase diagrams (binodal curves and tie-lines) for several ternary systems of {water + 1-propanol / 2-propanol + sugar (mono- and di-saccharides, and their polyols)} were determined, for the first time. The main factors which affect the phase separation ability of these systems, such as temperature, structure and stereochemistry of sugars, and the alcohol type were discussed.

Radiographic studies of the patient showed a lytic tumour in the distal phalanx of the left second finger compatible with a glomus tumour. The scan showed mild decreased activity in the blood pool phase and minimal increased activity on the delayed images.
