Pulmonary valve replacement and left pulmonary arterioplasty in repaired tetralogy of Fallot through left vertical axillary thoracotomy.

Different surgical approaches have been described for pulmonary valve replacement in patients with pulmonary regurgitation post tetralogy of Fallot repair-repeat median sternotomy, left anterior or antero-lateral thoracotomy, and left posterolateral thoracotomy. Every approach has its merits and drawbacks. In this case report, we describe a technique of pulmonary valve replacement and left pulmonary arterioplasty through left vertical axillary thoracotomy.

Axillary Peripheral Nerve Schwannoma: A Rare Occurrence in the Torso.

A schwannoma is a benign, solitary, noninvasive, and encapsulated tumor that originates from Schwann cells of the peripheral nerve sheath commonly found in the head and neck. A rare case of a benign schwannoma in the axillary region of a 34-year-old male patient is presented here accompanied by a discussion on the known entities of peripheral nerve schwannoma as well as the clinical and radiological findings coupled with treatment techniques. The patient presented with a left axillary mass of seven years gradually progressing in size which is associated with pain in the left arm.

This study reports the synthesis, characterization, and biological evaluation of a series of pyrazolyl-thiazole derivatives of thiophene. Seven compounds were synthesized and characterized using NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. The antimicrobial activities of these derivatives were evaluated against various bacterial (, , , ) and fungal strains (, , , ), demonstrating significant inhibition zones and low minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC).

Background: Synoptic operative reports (SORs) are checklists or templates that contain standardized elements of an operation. These elements are associated with standardized inclusion of critical elements of the operative report that translate into numerous potential benefits. Whereas SORs for melanoma, breast, and colorectal cancer surgery have already been widely implemented, similar templates for hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) cancer surgery are currently lacking.

We present an infant with tetralogy of Fallot with atypical findings on the preoperative echocardiogram. A cardiac computerized tomographic (CT) scan showed ARCAPA.

EVs are abundant in nature, affordable, and scalable, but they are also incredibly fragile and stuffed with many biomolecules. To address the low drug binding abilities and poor stability of EVs, we demonstrated herb-based EVs (isolated from neem, mint, and curry leaves) conjugated with chitosan (CS) and PEGylated graphene oxide (GP) that led to their transformation into robust and efficient vectors.
