COVISHIELD vaccine-induced thyroiditis: a case report.

Background: The rapid development of coronavirus disease 2019 vaccines during the pandemic has left their long-term effects largely unknown. Instances of autoimmune and subacute thyroiditis showing features of autoimmune/inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants have been reported post-vaccination. This case report aims to highlight the autoimmune/inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants syndrome after coronavirus disease 2019 vaccination, drawing attention to a possible connection with thyroid dysfunction and urging for further thorough research.

Implementation of a Multidisciplinary Inflammatory Breast Cancer Program for Quality Improvement.

Background: Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) is a rare but aggressive subtype of breast cancer accounting for only 1% to 5% of cases but comprising 7% to 10% of breast cancer deaths. Diagnosis of IBC can be challenging which can lead to delays in diagnosis and treatment. We formed a multidisciplinary IBC program to address the unique challenges of diagnosing and treating patients with IBC.

A systematic review and meta-analysis of efficacy and safety of Romosozumab in postmenopausal osteoporosis.

The study was conducted to illustrate the effect of Romosozumab in postmenopausal osteoporosis patients. Romosozumab decreased the incidence of vertebral, nonvertebral, and clinical fractures significantly. In addition, decreased incidence of falls and increased bone mineral density at lumbar spine, total hip, and femoral neck was observed.

New Innovation: Use of Flash Glucose Monitoring for Evaluating Glycaemic Variability, Patient Satisfaction and Clinical Utility in Pregnant Women with Diabetes.

Aim: Application of Flash glucose monitoring (FGM) system to evaluate glycaemic variability (GV), patient satisfaction and clinical utility in pregnant women with diabetes.

Methods: This prospective study was conducted in a tertiary care teaching hospital on 70 pregnant women with diabetes where blood sugar levels were monitored by FGM and self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG).

Results: FGM generated 19,950 readings versus 1470 readings by SMBG over 3 days.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease prevalence and associated risk factors--A study from rural sector of Maharashtra.

Background And Aim: Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) is the most common cause of chronic liver diseases and hardly any studies have been reported about its prevalence from rural India. This study aims at assessing the prevalence of NAFLD rural sector from Maharashtra (India) and study the risk factors associated with the disease.

Methods: The study was conducted on 410 individuals from villages in the vicinity of Nanded town attending a tertiary care hospital; out of which 302 individuals were considered for analysis.

Striated pattern on scrotal ultrasonography: A marker for Non-hodgkins lymphoma of testis.

We present a case of 52 year old man who presented with bilateral painless testicular swelling. On evaluation with high resolution ultrasonography of the scrotum, typical "striated pattern" which is highly suggestive of Non Hodgkins lymphoma of the testis was seen. The patient underwent bilateral inguinal orchidectomy and the histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of Non Hodgkins lymphoma.

Sarcomatoid (spindle cell) carcinoma of the head and neck mucosal region: a clinicopathologic review of 103 cases from a tertiary referral cancer centre.

Sarcomatoid carcinomas are biphasic tumors proven to be monoclonal dedifferentiated forms of conventional squamous carcinomas. This study evaluates their clinicopathologic characteristics in head and neck mucosal sites and the problems in distinguishing them from other spindle cell tumors. A total of 103 cases with a confirmed diagnosis of sarcomatoid carcinoma accessioned in the pathology department of a tertiary referral cancer centre over a period of 7 years (2004-2010) were studied.

Solitary nasal schwannoma clinically presenting as an angiofibroma of the nasopharynx.

Benign schwannomas of the nasal cavity are rare. When they do occur, their clinical presentation is variable, and some are fairly vascular. We report the case of a 17-year-old boy who presented with epistaxis associated with a unilateral nasal mass that extended into the nasopharynx.

Behavioral and electroantennographic responses of the tea mosquito, Helopeltis theivora, to female sex pheromones.

Responses of the tea mosquito, Helopeltis theivora (Waterhouse) (Hemiptera: Miridae), a major pest of tea, to female sex pheromone compounds were measured using wind tunnel and electroantennogram (EAG) bioassays. In the wind tunnel, male tea mosquitoes were found to be most attracted to a dichloromethane extract of the female thorax. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis of female thoracic extracts and dynamic head space samples of virgin females showed the presence of five compounds: (Z)-3 hexenyl acetate, (Z)-3 hexenyl butanoate, (E)-2 hexenyl pentanoate, 2,4 dimethyl pentanal, and (E)-2-hexenol.
