In this work, we demonstrated the preparation of FeO/rGO nanocomposite by hydrothermal method, followed by in situ Ag binding synthesis for the fabrication of hybrid nanocomposite (Ag/α-FeO/rGO). The crystallographic structure of the hybrid nanocomposite is examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis which confirms the characteristics of Ag, FeO, and rGO.

Background: Screen use time has increased in the past decade owing to the increased availability and accessibility of digital devices and the internet. Several studies have shown an association between increased screen use time and mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. However, studies in the young adult population-a demographic with high screen use-and in low- and middle-income country settings are limited.

Understanding the burden of food allergy among urban and rural school children from north India.

Background: There is paucity of reliable epidemiological data regarding the burden of food allergy in most developing countries, including India.

Objective: To provide current estimates of the prevalence and distribution of food allergy among urban and rural school children aged 6-14 years in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) of Khekra in India.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from January 2022 to February 2023 to enroll school children, 6-14 years, from select urban and rural schools in Delhi and NCR.

Anthocyanins, considered as prebiotic ingredients for functional foods, were extracted from black soybean (BS), black grape (BG), black carrot (BCPm), and black rice (BR) using conventional solvent extraction (CSE) and microwave-assisted extraction (MAE). The study employed a split-plot design with CSE and MAE as main plot factors and anthocyanin extracts (AEs) as subplot factors. Anthocyanins were evaluated for stability (polymeric color, degradation index) and functionality (antioxidant capacity).

A Rare Case of Dyke-Davidoff-Masson Syndrome in an Adolescent Female.

The Dyke-Davidoff-Masson syndrome (DDMS) is an uncommon neurological disorder whose prevalence is not yet known. There have only been 21 adult manifestations of this rare brain disorder, out of around 100 cases previously documented. Diagnosis is challenging because of the complexity of radiological findings and clinical symptoms, which include ventricle dilation, hypertrophy of the cranial bones, increased pneumatization of the sinuses, and cerebral hemisphere atrophy.

Reversal of mutation-induced transcriptional dysregulation and pathology in cultured human neurons by allele-specific excision.

Efforts to genetically reverse C9orf72 pathology have been hampered by our incomplete understanding of the regulation of this complex locus. We generated five different genomic excisions at the locus in a patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line and a non-diseased wild-type (WT) line (11 total isogenic lines), and examined gene expression and pathological hallmarks of C9 frontotemporal dementia/amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in motor neurons differentiated from these lines. Comparing the excisions in these isogenic series removed the confounding effects of different genomic backgrounds and allowed us to probe the effects of specific genomic changes.

A case of hot tub lung secondary to mycobacterium avium complex in Victoria, Australia.

Hot tub lung (HTL) is a type of Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis (HP) caused by inhalation of aerosols containing non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM). We report the first case of hot tub lung in Victoria, Australia. A 31-year-old female presented with 3 weeks of dyspnoea, fevers and malaise, despite a course of antibiotics.

Although several models of flow have been proposed that include environmental and trait-based antecedents of the state, elements of cognitive control that enable workers to experience flow and its subsequent outcomes at work have largely been overlooked. This research proposes and provides empirical support for the "Cognitive Control Model of Work-related Flow," which integrates antecedents of flow at work related to the ability to focus concentration of cognitive resources toward experiencing flow at work. Along with flow at work, the model includes the antecedents of grit, flow metacognition, and mindfulness at work and the outcomes of work performance, engagement, and burnout.

Flexible Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy in Non-ventilated Children in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit: Utility, Interventions and Safety.

Objective: To study the utility of flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy (FFB), and its effects on oxygenation and hemodynamics in children while on respiratory assist devices.

Materials And Methods: The data of non-ventilated patients who underwent FFB during their stay in the PICU from January 2012 to December 2019 was retrieved from medical, nurses, and bronchoscopy records. The study parameters, demography, diagnosis, indication, and findings of FFB and interventions done after FFB, were noted, and also the oxygenation and hemodynamic parameters before, during and 3 hours after FFB.

Early incident and subsyndromal delirium in older patients undergoing elective surgical procedures: a randomized clinical trial of an avoid delirium protocol.

Background: Pharmacological avoidance guidelines for preventing delirium have been suggested; however, there are limited pragmatic studies of these strategies. Early (<24 h) delirium can be observed in the postoperative care unit and is associated with an increased risk of subsequent delirium. We examined the effectiveness of an avoid delirium protocol (ADP) in older (>65 years) patients undergoing elective surgeries.
