The integration of clean energy generation with wastewater treatment holds promise for addressing both environmental and energy concerns. Focusing on photocatalytic hydrogen production and wastewater treatment, this study introduces PdIn/TiO catalysts for the simultaneous removal of the pharmaceutical contaminant paracetamol (PTM) and hydrogen production. Physicochemical characterization showed a high distribution of Pd and In on the support as well as a high interaction with it.

A preference for sons and a sex selection against females are widespread in vast regions of the world, including a great number of Asian and East European countries. However, while a robust son bias has been widely studied in several countries of these regions, much less attention has been given to other regions, such as Latin America. The aim of this paper is to compare gender preferences in twelve selected countries of Southeast Asia and Latin America at the beginning of the 21st century by calculating to what extent parents adapt their fertility behaviors to ensure the birth of a preferred sex.

Dopamine (DA) is an important neurotransmitter in the human body, and a subnormal level is associated with some neurological problems, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. Its use as medicine has progressively increased, as well as its appearance in water bodies, such as domestic or hospital effluents. Dopamine has been found to produce neurological and cardiac damage to the animals that have consumed water with its content, so the removal of dopamine from water is of utmost importance to ensure water safety.

The combination of the selective catalytic reduction technology with catalytic filters constitutes one of the most efficient ways for diesel engine exhaust treatment. In this paper, the development of catalytic ceramic papers as structured systems for the abatement of diesel soot particles is addressed. Ceramic papers were prepared by the dual-polyelectrolyte papermaking method, which is based on the conventional papermaking technique used for cellulosic papers, in which a portion of cellulosic fibers is replaced by ceramic ones.
