We present a case of a patient with a left atrial myxoma who presented with an ischemic stroke. Her cardiac myxoma had an irregular contour and was highly mobile, both features that have been associated with a greater risk of thromboembolism. She was treated with prompt surgical resection.

Therefore, a review of previous studies is necessary to prevent the occurrence of cardiovascular complications and reduce the risk of mortality in this age group of patients. To investigate the cardiovascular complications in children with COVID-19, international authoritative databases including PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and Persian databases were searched using the main concepts, all articles were published between January 2020 and November 2022.

Hematological parameters are often used in routine diagnosis of numerous disorders. Therefore, the study aimed to evaluate hematological parameters amongst women with and without BC.

These drugs function by blocking the re-uptake of serotonin by the serotonin transporter (SERT) into neurons, resulting in its accumulation in the presynaptic cleft. Despite a large amount of research suggesting a potential link to neurodevelopmental disorders in children whose mothers took these drugs during pregnancy, their possible adverse effects are still debated, and results are contradictory.

A variety of sources of HA in wastewater exist, ranging from agricultural runoff, industrial discharges, and natural decomposition. Adsorption is a technique that has been heavily investigated in this direction.

A comprehensive examination of the variables that inform the clinical decision-making paradigm for the determination of appropriate chest tube calibers is imperative to enhance patient management and elevate the prognostic results.
Objectives: The objective of this inquiry is to elucidate the determinants that influence thoracic surgeons and pulmonologists in their selection of chest tube size for the management of pleural effusions.
Black rot, caused by pv. (), is considered the most destructive disease affecting cruciferous vegetables, resulting in significant losses worldwide. The need for biocontrol agents against that can reduce reliance on chemical pesticides, enhance sustainability, and ensure crops and environmental health is crucial.

Methods: The study involved 25 diagnosed children with PS undergoing BPV and 25 normal children.
Background: There is a high mortality rate in cyanotic patients with congenital heart disease (CHD) due to cardiovascular complications. The cardiovascular prognosis is negatively affected by endothelium dysfunction, increased arterial stiffness, and impaired vascular system. This study aimed to determine carotid intimal mean thickness (CIMT) and flow-mediated dilatation (FMD) in a group of children with cyanotic CHD (CCHD).

Vasovagal syncope is the most common syncope in children and adolescents. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of self-care recommendations with and without tilt training on the Quality of Life (QoL) of children and adolescents with syncope.

Increasing evidence shows that mucosal damage plays an important role in the pathogenesis of MRONJ. This study investigates the combinatorial effects of hydroxyapatite with Tualang honey on cell viability and wound healing in MRONJ.

Since coronary artery disease (CAD) is common among these patients, it is crucial to choose the best method and timing of revascularization. This study aims to compare different timing strategies of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with severe AS undergoing TAVI to clarify whether PCI timing affects the patients' outcomes or not.

Thus, choosing the ideal occlusal scheme among bilateral balanced (BBO), lingualized (LO), and monoplane (MO) for such conditions becomes crucial. The experiment was conducted using the finite element method on a modeling of a resorbed alveolar ridge in the lower jaw with three dentures placed on top, each of which was given different loading points according to the tooth arrangement of BBO, LO, and MO.

Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out within the framework of the multi-centric LIPOKAP project, with 1970 Iranian healthy adults.
Transcatheter stent implantation is a widely performed procedure for treating native coarctation of the aorta (CoA) in pediatric patients. However, data on mid- to long-term outcomes are limited. The aim of this study was to evaluate the mid-term safety and efficacy of transcatheter CoA stenting based on centrally adjudicated outcomes.

Right ventricular thrombus is a rare finding found in 4% of people diagnosed with pulmonary embolism. Although right ventricular thrombi are usually associated with atrial fibrillation, deep venous vein thrombi, or intracardiac procedures, isolated right ventricular thrombi are rare. Right ventricular thrombus has also been reported in patients with right ventricular infarction, as hypokinesis of the right ventricle causes blood stasis and promotes thrombosis as per Virchow's triad.

Brachial artery flow-mediated dilation (FMD) and carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) are indicators of subclinical cardiovascular disease and are used as surrogate measures of subclinical atherosclerosis. The present study aimed to compare CIMT and FMD between children with acyanotic congenital heart disease (ACHD) and healthy controls.
