Purpose: To investigate the effects of different bonding agents and application of glaze on the shear bond strength (SBS) between monolithic zirconia (MZ) and indirect composite (IC).

Materials And Methods: Five different bonding agents (G-Premio Bond [GP]; Tokuyama Universal Bond [TU]; Signum Zirconia bond [SZ]; Clearfil Ceramic Primer Plus [CCP]; Z-Prime Plus [ZP]) were applied to a total of 200 MZ disk-shaped specimens (n = 100 glazed and 100 nonglazed). Half of the specimens then underwent thermocycling and the other half no thermocycling (n = 10 specimens each subgroup).

Purpose: To evaluate the trueness of five intraoral scanners on a fully edentulous model with seven implants.

Materials And Methods: The study model was created from gypsum with seven implant analogs that were placed with 2-mm gingival height and a 0-degree angle at tooth sites 47, 45, 43, 31, 33, 35, and 37 (FDI system). The study model was scanned 10 times (n = 10) with five intraoral scanners (CS 3600, Emerald S, Primescan, Trios 3, and Trios 4).

Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare the trueness and precision of four intraoral scanners (IOSs) and splinted open-tray conventional implant impression (SOCI) in partial and total edentulism.

Materials And Methods: Four gypsum models (Model A-implants at mandibular right second molar, right second premolar, and right canine; Model B- implants at mandibular right canine, left central incisor, and left canine; Model C-implants at mandibular right second molar, right second premolar, right canine, left central incisor, and left canine; and Model D-implants at mandibular right second molar, right second premolar, right canine, left central incisor, left canine, left second premolar, and left second molar) were prepared, and four different IOSs (Aadva IOS, CS 3600, Trios 3, and Emerald) and one polyvinyl siloxane (PVS) were used. Reference models were digitized with a high-resolution industrial scanner, and data were superimposed.

Purpose: To analyze the presented evidence behind suggested reasons for long-term marginal bone loss (MBL) around 600 endosseous titanium dental implants according to the radiological findings up to 60 months.

Materials And Methods: The data of 151 patients are received from the prosthodontic department of a university clinic and analyzed for the effect of implant brand, location, implant diameter and length, implant occlusal table width, cantilever, and smoking on MBL in a 6-year period.

Results: MBL is significantly higher in Zimmer SwissPlus implant system.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare the satisfaction and quality of life (QoL) in a group of patients using mandibular complete dentures, implant-retained overdentures, removable partial dentures (RPDs), or implant-supported fixed partial dentures (FPDs).

Materials And Methods: A total of 116 patients (aged 36 to 81, mean age 58 ± 10.03 years) were assigned to four groups (n = 29) and treated with mandibular implant-retained overdentures, implant-supported FPDs (two implants/three unit FPDs), conventional complete dentures, or RPDs.

The restoration of anterior non-vital teeth with metal posts and cores and all-ceramic restorations may lead to compromised esthetics because of the semi-translucence of ceramics and the metallic color of the underlying post and cores. This article presents a technique that combines the optical properties of ceramic cores with the mechanical properties of custom-made cast metal posts. The technique involves heat pressing of the core from leucite-enriched glass-ceramic to the underlying custom-made metal post and may provide additional esthetic benefit for anterior teeth especially with little remaining coronal dentin and with small root volume.
