[Follow-up of the structure of patients treated at the Out-patient Department for Clinical Psychotherapy and Psychosomatic Disorders at the Psychiatric Clinic in Sarajevo].

Researches in the field of psychiatric disorders epidemilogy have shown that difference in the psychiatric morbidity between males and females exists within the categories of non-psychotic disorders. Findings of numerous researches regarding use of the various forms of community mental health services indicated that females are more present in the out-patient and in-patient community mental health treatment, as well as their higher number in community mental health treatment. Research which has been done in 2002 at the Department for Clinical Psychotherapy and Psychosomatic Disorders at the Psychiatric Clinic in Sarajevo, which has been focused on years 1990, 1993, 2000 has, for peacefull 1990, shown identical results comparing with the findings of similar studies which have been conducted in USA and Wester Europe countries.

Specific characteristics of the group psychotherapy of neurotic patients who survived war traumatization.

The paper will show specific characteristics of the psychodynamic group psychotherapy in the small group of patients. Primary indications for the psychotherapy were expressed neurotic disorders. All patients have survived war traumatization, and some survived trauma of being refugee and separation from the other family members.

[Differences in coping strategies in those who experienced the trauma of war or torture and the local population].

Aim: To define the differences in coping strategies between the victims of torture and the local inhabitants with the experience of war.

Method: The subjects were divided in two groups. Each group consisted of 50 subjects.

[Specific psychopathologic reactions in refugee populations and victims of torture].

Aim: Examine differences and specificities of psychological symptoms as a response to the trauma of torture and displacement.

Method: The sample includes two groups of 50 subjects. The first group experienced the trauma of displacement, and the second group beside the displacement experienced also the trauma of torture.
