The opioid epidemic has forced practitioners to look to other means for pain control. This has made non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDs) much more prevalent. Advantageous as it might seem, a closer look at the pharmacodynamics shows that by inhibiting COX enzymes, NSAIDs are inhibiting prostaglandin which could inhibit bone healing.

Patients And Methods: It was analyzed 174 subjects (from Health Center Zivinice/ Mental Health Center) through a survey conducted in the period from March 2015 to June 2016, of witch 87 war veterans with PTSD and control subjects 87 war veterans without PTSD. The primary outcome measure was the Post-Traumatic Embitterment Disorder Self-Rating Scale (PTED Scale) who contains 19 items designed to assess features of embitterment reactions to negative life events.
Objective: Objective of this work is to determine influence of palliative care on the quality of life in patients with lung cancer.
Subjects And Methods: Our study group included 40 patients, consecutively selected, which is determined by symptomatic treatment and hospitalized at the Department of Palliative Care of University Clinical Center Tuzla. The control group consisted of 40 patients who had a diagnosis of lung cancer treated at home by an authorized ambulance Health Center Tuzla.
Aim: The aim of this study was to analyze frequency of restless legs syndrome (RLS) in patients with hypertension and diabetes mellitus.
Patients And Methods: It was analyzed 120 subjects (from Health Center Živinice/Family Medicine Department) through a survey conducted in the period from March to June 2015, of which 30 (8 men/22 women). Subjects were 30 patients with longtime hypertension (HT)(18 men/12 women), 30 patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) type I or II (9 men/21 women), 30 patients with long standing DM type I or II and HT (12 men /18 women), and 30 control subjects (12 men/18 women).
Aim: To investigate the incidence of dyslipidemia (hypertriglyceridemia and hypercholesterolemia) in patients treated with antipsychotics of new generation compared to conventional therapy.
Methods: This retrospective study included 116 chronic psychiatric patients divided into two groups: a test group who were on treatment with antipsychotics of the new generation and a control group who were treated with classical antipsychotics. Laboratory and vital parameters were monitored in a group of patients who were treated with new generation antipsychotics (clozapine, olanzapine, risperidone), as well as in the group of patients who were treated with classical antipsychotics (promazine, levopromazin,haloperidol, fluphenazine).
Background: Although mental health promotion is a priority mental health action area for all European countries, high level training resources and high quality skills acquisition in mental health promotion are still relatively rare. The aim of the current paper is to present the results of the DG SANCO-funded PROMISE project concerning the development of European guidelines for training social and health care professionals in mental health promotion.
Methods: The PROMISE project brought together a multidisciplinary scientific committee from eight European sites representing a variety of institutions including universities, mental health service providers and public health organisations.
