Vat photopolymerization (VPP) is an additive manufacturing method that requires the design of photocurable resins to act as feedstock and binder for the printing of parts, both monolithic and composite. The design of a suitable photoresin is costly and time-consuming. The development of one formulation requires the consumption of kilograms of costly materials, weeks of printing and performance testing, as well as the need to have developers with the expertise and knowledge of the materials used, making the development process cost thousands.

3D Printing Soft Magnet: Binder Study for Vat Photopolymerization of Ferrosilicon Magnetic Composites.

Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) masking is a 3D printing technique that can produce soft magnetic composite parts to high resolution and complexity for robotics and energy electronics applications. This additive manufacturing technique has the potential to produce larger, lighter-weight, more efficient, and more durable parts for automotive and mechanical applications. A Systematic Study on Impact of Binder Formulation on Green Body Strength of Vat-Photopolymerisation 3D Printed Silica Ceramics Used in Investment Casting.

Additive ceramics manufacturing with vat-photopolymerisation (VP) is a developing field, and the need for suitable printing materials hinders its fast growth. Binder mixtures significantly influence the mechanical properties of printed ceramic bodies by VP, considering their rheological properties, curing performances and green body characteristics. Improving mechanical characteristics and reducing cracks during printing and post-processes is mainly related to binder formulations.

Large Scale Vat-Photopolymerization of Investment Casting Master Patterns: The Total Solution.

The material properties and processing of investment casting patterns manufactured using conventional wax injection Molding and those manufactured by vat photopolymerization can be substantially different in terms of thermal expansion and mechanical properties, which can generate problems with dimensional accuracy and stability before and during ceramic shelling and shell failures during the burn-out of the 3D printed casting patterns. Hot Lithography Vat Photopolymerisation 3D Printing: Vat Temperature vs. Mixture Design.

In the vat photopolymerisation 3D printing technique, the properties of the printed parts are highly dependent on the degree of conversion of the monomers. The mechanisms and advantages of vat photopolymerisation at elevated temperatures, or so called "hot lithography", were investigated in this paper. Two types of photoresins, commercially used as highly accurate castable resins, with different structural and diluent monomers, were employed in this study.

Clinical and economical impacts of guideline implementation by the pharmaceutical care unit for high cost medications in a referral teaching hospital.

Background: Irrational drug use is a global health challenge in all healthcare settings, such as hospitals. This study evaluated the impact of an intervention by the pharmaceutical care unit on the use pattern of high-value medications and their direct costs in a referral hospital.

Methods: This interventional, prospective study was carried out in clinical wards of Namazi Hospital (Shiraz University of Medical Sciences) during six months from May 2015 to October 2015.

The Role of Bcl-2 and Bax as Markers of Disease Progression in Hepatitis C Virus Infected Patients.

Many apoptotic markers have been linked to hepatic cell injury in HCV-related liver diseases, and hence could be used as potential markers for early detection of the disease. The present study aimed to assess the role of apoptotic markers Bcl-2 and Bax in the pathogenesis of chronic HCV-related liver diseases. A total of 85 participants were enrolled into the study; 70 chronic HCV patients (35 non-cirrhotic and 35 cirrhotic), and 15 healthy controls.

Association between rs1761667 polymorphism of CD36 gene and risk of coronary atherosclerosis in Egyptian population.

Background: Recent studies have demonstrated that CD36 is involved in the progression of atherosclerosis. Associations between rs1761667 polymorphisms of the CD36 gene and susceptibility to coronary artery disease (CAD) are not obvious.

Methods: We studied the relationship between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), rs1761667 of CD36 gene and the risk of coronary atherosclerosis in a case-control study composed of 71 CAD patients and 76 healthy controls by assessment of allele frequencies and genotype distributions using real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and the allele discrimination technique.

Yield of endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography for solid pancreatic neoplasms.

Objective: Both endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) cytology may provide tissue diagnoses in solid pancreatic neoplasms. However, there are scant data comparing these two methods. This study aims at retrospectively comparing EUS-FNA and ERCP tissue sampling and ability of cytopathological diagnosis in solid pancreatic neoplasms and to determine usefulness and adverse events of combining both procedures.

In spite of this risk many Muslims prefer to fast considering not fasting is a great sin and shameful.

[Anatlysis of HSPA1B A1267G gene polymorphism in peptic ulcer].

Peptic ulcer disease is a common illness, affecting a considerable number of people worldwide, and its occurrence can be influenced by environmental and genetic factors. Heat shock proteins (HSPs) function mostly as molecular chaperones, and are induced by various stresses. The A to G transition at position 1267 of the HSPA1B gene was shown to correlate with changes in the level of HSPA mRNA expression.

Annexins (ANXs) constitute a family of Ca2+-dependent membrane-binding proteins; at least 20 of them have been described to date. Among these, Annexin A2 (ANXA2) has been revealed as a multi-functional protein in vitro. Its actual role in vivo, however, requires further investigation.

Visualizing the gastric wall with a 30-MHz ultrasonic miniprobe: ex vivo imaging of normal gastric sites and sites of early gastric cancer.

Background: This study was performed to determine the echo layer structures of the normal gastric wall and early gastric cancer when visualized with a 30-MHz ultrasonic miniprobe.

Methods: Twelve surgically resected gastric specimens were used for an ex vivo study. Eighteen normal sites and 12 early gastric cancer sites were scanned with an Olympus (XUM-S30-25R) probe with a frequency of 30-MHz.
