[Fat-forming solitary fibrous tumor with NAB2/ STAT6 gene fusion. Case report of genial location and literature review].

The lipomatous variety solitary fibrous tumor is a soft tissue neoplasm composed of mature adipose tissue and hemangiopericytoma areas. A 53-year-old man consulted for facial asymmetry and maxillofacial magnetic resonance imaging showed a cystic lesion, 3 x 2 cm in size, in front of the anterior wall of the maxillary sinus. Histologically, there were dense spindle cells expressing CD34, CD99, Bcl-2, and STAT6, myxoid zones, hemangiopericytomatous blood vessels, and S100 positive adipocytes.

MicroRNAs expression associated with aggressive clinicopathological features and poor prognosis in primary cutaneous melanomas.

Several studies have focused on identifying microRNAs involved in the pathogenesis of melanoma. However, its association with clinicopathological features has been scarcely addressed. The aim of this study is to identify microRNAs expression profiles related to aggressive clinicopathological and molecular features, and to analyze the association with melanoma survival.

Balanitis Xerotica Obliterans Associated With Differentiated Penile Intraepithelial Neoplasia and "Bramble-Bush" Elastic Fibers Accumulation: A Finding Not Specific for Penicillamine Intake.

We describe the association of balanitis xerotica obliterans and differentiated penile intraepithelial neoplasia (PeIN) with dermal elastosis and "bramble-bush" elastic fibers in a diabetic patient with no history of penicillamine intake. An 84-year-old man presented with urethral obstruction syndrome that required postectomy, meatotomy, and foreskin excision. Histopathological examination revealed changes of lichen sclerosus and differentiated PeIN.

Orbital soft tissue composite lymphoma presenting as recurrence of a nodal lymphoma with mantle and follicular cell components: A case report, literature review and guideline for the treatment of patients.

Composite lymphoma with mantle and follicular cell components is a challenging diagnosis. Flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry and molecular genetics are required to distinguish the two components, as often the more aggressive one is predominant and masks the other. A 58-year-old man with history of nodal composite lymphoma presented with right exophthalmos and diplopia.

Iodine-125 seeds in prostatic transurethral resection: Differential diagnosis with schistosome eggs.

The presence of foreign bodies in a prostate transurethral resection may pose a histopathological challenge. A 65-year-old white man with urinary obstructive symptoms was subjected to a transurethral resection. Histopathology showed a squamous cell carcinoma affecting prostatic ducts and multiple foreign bodies; their differential diagnosis was between iodine-125 seeds and Schistosoma sp.

Aberrant DNA methylation is associated with aggressive clinicopathological features and poor survival in cutaneous melanoma.

Background: Promoter methylation of tumour suppressor genes (TSGs) has recently been implicated in the pathogenesis of several types of cancer. Regarding melanoma, over 100 genes that contribute to its pathogenesis have been identified to be aberrantly hypermethylated.

Objectives: This is a retrospective observational study that aims to analyse the prevalence of CpG island methylation in a series of primary melanomas, to identify the associations with the main clinicopathological features, and to explore the prognostic significance of methylation in melanoma survival.

Median raphe cysts in men. Presentation of our experience and literature review.

Objectives: To present our experience with the diagnosis and treatment of median raphe cysts treated in our department in the last 25years.

Material And Method: We conducted a retrospective study of 28men with median raphe cysts who underwent surgery in our department from June 1990 to March 2015. We analysed the age of presentation, reason for consultation, clinical manifestations, histological findings, treatment and outcome after exeresis.

Malignant eccrine breast spiradenoma. A case report and literature review.

Introduction: Eccrine spiradenomas are rare adnexal tumours of the skin that originate in the sweat glands. There are only three cases, including ours, diagnosed as malignant transformation in the breast.

Presentation Of Case: We present a case of an asymptomatic 48 year old woman in whom the lesion was detected on the basis of breast cancer prevention programme.

Eosinophilic follicular reaction induced by Demodex folliculorum mite: a different disease from eosinophilic folliculitis.

Eosinophilic folliculitis (EF) is an idiopathic dermatitis included in the spectrum of eosinophilic pustular follicular reactions. Demodex folliculorum has been implicated as contributing to the pathogenesis of human immunodeficiency virus-associated EF, but it has not been described outside this context. We present an immunocompetent 65-year-old white man with a 5-year history of recurrent pruritic erythematous and oedematous lesions on his face, neck and scalp.
