Patients with gastric cancer are at higher risk for venous thromboembolic events (VTE). Majority of such patients are treated in ambulatory settings where thromboprophylaxis is not routinely offered. In this study, we report on VTE rates and search for predictors that may help identify patients at higher risk to justify VTE-prophylaxis in ambulatory settings.

Methods: Consecutive patients who underwent 2-day adenosine gated stress/rest Tc-sestamibi imaging and had normal perfusion were analyzed. LVEF was quantified at rest and 1 hour post-adenosine.
We present a case of severe aortic coarctation in a donor of twin-twin transfusion syndrome. Patients underwent two angioplasty procedures at age 7 and 47 days, weighing 900 and 1500 g, respectively. Umbilical artery approach was used in the first procedure, and femoral artery approach was used in the second.
