The objective of this study was to identify the structural peculiarities of terminal interlobular venules and to determine the number of endotheliocytes, hepatic fat-storing cells (FSC) and stellate macrophages (SM) in the liver of newborn infants. Liver fragments were obtained from 5 healthy newborn infants during medico-legal autopsies. In the sections stained using Mallory's method, the relation of the connective tissue of terminal portal tracts with the adventitia of interlobular veins was determined.

Of these, there were 12 women and 47 men (average age 56.3 years).

During the period from April 2009 to June 2010, a total of fifty 38-to-72-year-old patients (mean age 58 years) underwent angiographic examinations wherein medical-purpose CO2 was employed as a radiopaque agent. We performed 39 aorto-arteriographies, 10 portographies, and one mesentericography.

It was found that high urolithiasis incidence rate in some regions was associated with high water pollution (class III and IV), its high natural mineralization and hardness, high content of chlorides, sulphates and other components of salt composition, organic and non-organic pollutants. Chemical and microbiological tests showed that sanitary standards were not strictly observed in the regions with high urolithiasis morbidity.

The paper presents the data of an integrated examination involving biochemical, chromatographic, and mass-spectrometric studies of 1180 patients aged 14 to 76 years who have been treated at the Dushanbe Urology Medical Center. The investigation established a relationship of an increase in ICD morbidity in poor environmental regions of the Republic of Tajikistan to the high organic and non-organic pollution, the high natural mineralization and hardness of water, and the elevated levels of chlorides, sulfates, and other salt components, which in turn influences the severity of a pathological process.

The paper gives the data of investigating the processes of chromatographic mass spectrometric urinalysis in 82 patients aged 15 to 81 years urgently admitted to the units of urology of Moscow City Clinical Hospital Seven for a renal colic attack. The levels of lithogenic substances were measured in patients with different types of metabolic disturbances.

Thrombosis of deep veins of the lower extremities is a serious and frequently occurring disease (with the incidence rate of 160 newly onset cases per 100,000 people annually). A great number of complications are known to develop in case of the ileofemoral thrombosis and a floating pattern of the proximal portion of the thrombus, especially if extending to the vena cava inferior. Appropriate treatment of thromboses of the vena cava inferior should consist in averting dissemination of thrombosis in the proximal direction, preventing pulmonary-artery thromboembolism (PATE), and restoring the patency of the vena cava inferior in order to eliminate the risk of post-thrombotic disease.

Local circulation in the regenerate of the treated animals was shown to increase not only as a result of increase of capillary density, but also due to the elevation in the number of functioning capillaries and veins.

Under pathology two coupled but opposite changes (simultaneous activation and inhibition) in succinate dependent Ca2+ transport occur. The inhibition of Ca2+ transport was detected by its elimination with glutamate, being mostly pronounced after cycle of ADP phosphorylation added to suspension of mitochondria.

Finoptin was found to prolong the evacuation in contrast to corinfar which stimulated it. Nonsignificant delay in gastric evacuation occurred in falicor administration.

It has been found that addition of 10 and 20 g of wheat bran to semolina porridge significantly (p less than 0.05) inhibits the rate of gastric stump and small intestine evacuation, and in 1/3 of the patients it promotes lowered manifestation and duration of dumping syndrome.

It has been established that in patients with dumping syndrome carbohydrate and carbohydrate-fatty food is most quickly evacuated from the gastric stump. Doubled amount of fat in the carbohydrate-fatty breakfast (up to 40 g) induced no significant deceleration in the gastric stump evacuation, moreover, in some cases its evacuatory function was accelerated.

Stimulation with isadrin and blockade with inderal of beta-adrenergic processes exert no significant effect on the time of food evacuation from the stomach. The alpha-adrenergic action of mezaton and ephedrine manifests itself in delayed food evacuation from the stomach at its initial accelerated evacuatory function. Blockade of alpha-adrenoreceptors with pyrroxan reduces the time of the stomach evacuation at the initial delayed gastric evacuation.
