Topologically associating domains (TADs) are essential components of three-dimensional (3D) genome organization and significantly influence gene transcription regulation. However, accurately identifying TADs from sparse chromatin contact maps and exploring the structural and functional elements within TADs remain challenging. To this end, we develop TADGATE, a graph attention auto-encoder that can generate imputed maps from sparse Hi-C contact maps while adaptively preserving or enhancing the underlying topological structures, thereby facilitating TAD identification.

The urgent need for new medications that regulate CYP2E1, CASP3, Nrf2, HO-1, TLR2, TLR4, STAT3, and NF-κB activities is paramount for the treatment of drug-induced liver injury (DILI), particularly from acetaminophen (APAP). Previous studies have suggested that platycosides of Platycodonis Radix exhibits hepatoprotective properties against APAP-induced liver injury (AILI), and their serum metabolites may be the effective agents. As the identify the serum metabolites of platycosides is a huge challenge, the mechanism whether platycosides exert effects through the serum metabolites regulating those targets still remain unclear.

Objectives: To evaluate the preventive effects of powder and tetragenous viable tablets on antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD) in infants and young children.
Methods: Children under three years old admitted to the Department of Pediatrics, Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University due to non-gastrointestinal infections and requiring antibiotic treatment from July to December 2023 were enrolled. The children were randomly divided into a control group (=47), a group (=70), and a group (=65) using a random number table method.
While substantial amounts of antibiotics and pesticides are applied to maintain orchard yields, their influence on the dissemination and risk of antibiotic resisitome in the orchard food chain remains poorly understood. In this study, we characterized the bacterial and fungal communities and differentiated both antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) and virulence factor genes (VFGs) in the soil, Chinese bayberry (matured and fallen), and fruit fly gut, collected from five geographic locations. Our results showed that fruit fly guts and soils exhibit a higher abundance of ARGs and VFGs compared with bayberry fruits.

Different non-thermal plasma-irradiated binary (hydro)oxides of polyvalent ferromanganese (poly-Fe-Mn) were synthesized and exploratorily dispersed to soil samples to activate solidification and stabilization during the self-cemented process. The maximum compressive strength of 56.

Multiple EN approaches are currently available, though criteria for selecting the optimal approaches are lacking. We aimed to propose a rational selection strategy of EN and to retrospectively evaluate its safety and effectiveness.

Although researchers have proposed some methods to tackle this problem, these methods mostly identify cancer driver genes at single gene level, overlooking the cooperative relationship among cancer driver genes. Identifying cooperating cancer driver genes in individual patients is pivotal for understanding cancer etiology and advancing the development of personalized therapies.

Adenosine 5'-monophosphate (AMP)-activated protein kinase (AMPK) is widely involved in cardiovascular development. Przewaquinone A (PA), a lipophilic diterpene quinone extracted from Salvia przewalskii Maxim, inhibits vascular contraction.

Background: In recent years, with benefits from the continuous improvement of clinical technology and the advantage of fertility preservation, the application of embryo cryopreservation has been growing rapidly worldwide. However, amidst this growth, concerns about its safety persist. Numerous studies have highlighted the elevated risk of perinatal complications linked to frozen embryo transfer (FET), such as large for gestational age (LGA) and hypertensive disorders during pregnancy.

Currently, there is a lack of consensus on their management, and guidelines do not recommend postoperative chemotherapy for patients with stage G1/G2 disease after curative resection.

Methods: This study included 234 T2D patients, of whom 166 had DKD, at the First Hospital of Jilin University from January 2021 to July 2022. Clinical characteristics, such as age, gender, and typical hematological parameters, were collected and used for modeling.
Background: Pelvic fractures in trauma patients can be associated with substantial massive hemorrhage. Hemostasis interventions mainly consist of pelvic packing (PP) and endovascular intervention (EI), such as angiography-embolization (AE) and resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA). Whether PP or EI should be prioritized for the management of hemodynamic unstable patients with pelvic fractures remains under debate.

As the core regulator of photomorphogenesis, ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 5 (HY5) is affected by dynamic changes in its transcriptional activity and protein stability; however, little is known about the mediators of these processes. Here, we identified PHOTOREGULATORY PROTEIN KINASE 1 (PPK1), which interacts with and phosphorylates HY5 in Arabidopsis, as one such mediator.
