[Prognostic value of parameters of cerebral hemodynamics in patients with carotid ischemic stroke].

We studied the dynamics of neurological deficit and parameters of the blood flow through middle cerebral arteries in 97 patients with acute ischemic stroke (IS). Absolute and relative parameters of the blood flow were compared to the severity of neurological deficit in the 1st, 5-7th and 21-23rd days. There was a strong correlation between the asymmetry in blood flow velocity in the first day of II and NIHSS scores in 21-23rd days (r= -0,96; p<0,01).

[Surgical treatment of the combined heart, lung and liver hydatid disease].

Results of surgical treatment of 12 patients with the combined hydatid disease of heart and target organs (liver, lungs) are analyzed. Authors recommend echocardiography for all the patients with echinococcosis of target organs as a means of timely heart involvement diagnostics. Simultaneous surgery for the combined hydatid disease is recommended.

[Surgical treatment of prosthetic endocarditic of cardiac valves].

Results of surgical treatment of patients with cardiac valves prosthetic endocarditis are discussed. General hospital lethality was 15.4%.

[Present-day aspects of surgical treatment of mitral restenosis].

Tactical and technical features of treatment of patients with mitral restenosis are discussed. The results (surgical lethality was 6.41%) confirm the necessity of surgical treatment of mitral restenosis with artificial circulation.
