The Pum isoforms are implicated in a wide array of biological processes including stem cell maintenance, development, ribosome biogenesis as well as human diseases.

Previous studies have demonstrated evidence that normal reference ranges for radiographic vertebral heart scale values can vary among dog breeds. The purpose of this retrospective, observational study was to determine whether the normal vertebral heart scale values published by Buchanan and Bücheler for lateral radiographs are applicable to the Norwich terrier. Secondary objectives were to determine if clinical signs of respiratory disease, age, sex, weight, body condition score, recumbency, or thoracic depth-to-width ratio had any influence on vertebral heart scale measurements in this breed.

Ambulatory cancer care electronic symptom self-reporting (ACCESS) for surgical patients: a randomised controlled trial protocol.

Introduction: An increasing proportion of cancer surgeries are ambulatory procedures requiring a stay of 1 day or less in the hospital. Providing patients and their caregivers with ongoing, real-time support after discharge aids delivery of high-quality postoperative care in this new healthcare environment. Background: Pelvic limb neuropathy is a rare post-anaesthetic complication. In the authors' experiences, the incidence of post-anaesthesia neuropathy is increased following MRI of the proximal metatarsus and tarsal regions when compared with previously reported incidences of post-anaesthetic neuropathy.

Objectives: This study reports the incidence, diagnosis, treatment and outcome of seven horses with post-anaesthesia neuropathy following proximal metatarsal and tarsal MRI.

A novel method for complex three-dimensional evaluation of intraoral scanner accuracy.

Aims: The aim of this study was to compare two existing methods and one novel method for measuring the distortion of three-dimensional (3D) models created with complete-arch digital impressions, and to assess the accuracy of different scan patterns using these methods.

Materials And Methods: Maxillary and mandibular models were imaged with the PlanScan intraoral scanner using four different scan patterns. Accuracy and distortion were assessed by comparing the master scans with the intraoral scans using the following three methods: 1) Mean surface deviation was measured after complete arch superimposition; 2) 28 points were selected identically on the experimental and on the master reference models, and the deviation between identical points was assessed after superimposition over the complete arch; 3) In the case of the novel technique, the superimposition was made only at the scanning origin, and after that the 28 points were compared.

Radiogenomics aims at investigating the relationship between imaging radiomic features and gene expression alterations. This study addressed the potential prognostic complementary value of contrast enhanced computed tomography (CE-CT) radiomic features and gene expression data in primary colorectal cancers (CRC). Sixty-four patients underwent CT scans and radiomic features were extracted from the delineated tumor volume.

Introduction of a tumor antigen-specific T cell receptor (TCR) into patient-derived lymphocytes has already exhibited promising results for the treatment of melanoma and other malignancies in clinical trials. However, insufficient or unsuccessful ex vivo manufacturing of engineered T cells due to low expansion and/or transduction rate can still be observed in some patients.
