Advancements in surgical stapling devices play a crucial role in improving outcomes for bariatric procedures. This study evaluates the performance and safety of a new endoscopic stapler (EnDrive® Beluga) regarding perioperative results across multiple bariatric surgery types. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 112 patients who underwent bariatric procedures using the Beluga stapler at two centers in the United Arab Emirates and Kenya over a 6-month period (June-December 2023).

The creation of varieties adapted to changing environmental conditions, resistant to various pathogens, and satisfying various grain purposes is impossible without using the genetic diversity of wheat. One of the ways to expand the genetic diversity of wheat is to introduce new variants of genes from the genetic pool of congeners and wild relatives into the genotypes of existing varieties. In this study, we used 10 lines from the Arsenal collection created on the genetic basis of the spring variety 'Rodina' and the diploid species Aegilops speltoides in the Federal Research Center "Nemchinovka" in 1994.

Overall, 22 QTL that manifested under contrasting environmental conditions with various significances were detected on 10 chromosomes. Grain hardness and vitreousness were associated with three loci on chromosomes 5D, 6A, and 3A, while the gluten content, with two loci on chromosomes 5B and 7A.

The character has been found to be monogenic, and its gene has been located to chromosome IDS. The smoky ear coloration is determined by an allele of gene Rg2 introgressed to wheat from Aegilops tauschii.

Leaf hairiness was shown to be controlled by a single introgressed dominant gene that was not allelic to the known common wheat gene Hl1. Waxlessness of the whole plant is controlled by the introgressed from Ae.

Effect of the ionic composition of the biphasic system on partitioning of the compounds was examined. The relative hydrophobicity of the compounds in the presence of 0.

Activity of acid phosphatase was determined in rabbit kidneys under subcapsular implantation of polyester-based polyurethane films (A-10) and films (D-1) containing the links of L-phenylalanyl-L-serine dipeptide in the main chain of the polymer. Optimal conditions are chosen for detecting activity of this enzyme in homogenates and in the lysosome enriched fraction of rabbit kidneys with L-glycerophosphate used as a substrate. Activity of acid phosphatase under the A-10 specimen implantation increases on the 7th and 14th day and later (during a year) does not differ from the normal level.

The relative hydrophobicity of the compounds at zero ionic strength was estimated in terms of an equivalent number of CH2 groups.

It is shown that in the postoperative period, besides antigens similar to those of the normal muscles, other antigens which may belong to stage-specific ones appears in the fraction of soluble proteins. The antigenic composition of the skeletal muscles is the same with both methods of connection of the tissues defects.
