Background: While there is ample evidence on the effects of single-mode aerobic and speed training on physical fitness in soccer players, less is known on the combined effects of these exercise regimens on physical and psychological factors.
Aim: This study aimed to compare the effects of aerobic and speed training with soccer-specific training versus soccer-specific training only on aerobic performance during the YOYO intermittent fitness test level 1 (final velocity, total distance [TD], maximal oxygen consumption [VO2max]), repeated sprint ability (best, total sprint time [RSABT, RSATT], sprint decrement [RSA dec]) performance and somatic anxiety (SA), cognitive anxiety (CA), and self-confidence (SC) adaptations in soccer players.
Methods: Thirty-eight highly trained male athletes aged 18.
Although previous research in pediatric populations has reported performance enhancements following long-term plyometric training, the acute effects of plyometric exercises on measures of balance, vertical jump, reactive strength, and leg stiffness remain unclear. Knowledge on the acute effects of plyometric exercises (i.e.

Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the effects of CST on dynamic balance (composite score during dynamic balance test (CS-YBT)), one repetition maximum lower-limb back squat (1RM), jumping performance (single-leg hop (SLH) or countermovement jump height (CMJ)), lower-limb asymmetry (predicted from the single-leg jump performance between two legs [ILA]) in elite youth male volleyball players. Thirty-one male youth volleyball players aged 14 years were randomly assigned to a CST group (n = 16) or a control group (n = 15).

It is characterized by recurrent non-suppurative parotitis, with several acute inflammatory episodes per year.

Understanding the distribution of UES across a landscape can help managers ensure an equitable distribution of services. While many past studies have focused on the distribution of green spaces in relation to socioeconomic variables, this research analyzes the distribution of UES provided by these green spaces.

Methods: Forty active and healthy participants were randomly divided into young experimental, young control, aged experimental, and aged control group. Experimental groups participated in TRF.
Aims: Transoesophageal echocardiography studies have reported frequent peri-device leaks and device-related thrombi (DRT) after percutaneous left atrial appendage (LAA) occlusion. We assessed the prevalence, characteristics and correlates of leaks and DRT on cardiac computed tomography (CT) after LAA occlusion.
Methods And Results: Consecutive patients underwent cardiac CT before LAA occlusion to assess left atrial (LA) volume, LAA shape, and landing zone diameter.
The study aimed to investigate the effects of repeated sprint (RS) training on somatic anxiety (SA), cognitive anxiety (CA), self-confidence (SC), rating of perceived exertion (RPE) and repeated sprint ability (RSA) indicators in elite young soccer players. Thirty elite soccer players in the first football league (age: 17.8±0.

We report the case of a 2-month old infant who experienced recurrent sustained ventricular tachycardia (VT) in a structurally normal heart. Resting electrocardiogram (ECG) showed wide QRS with a complete right bundle branch bloc (RBBB) morphology. There was no family history of syncope or sudden death, but the ECGs of the father and the brother showed incomplete RBBB with negative T waves on V1 lead.

Patients And Methods: A prospective study is carried out on 80 patients to evaluate the role of antibiotic prophylaxis in the control of infections.
Background: Patients with renal insufficiency experience worse prognosis after STEMI. The current guidelines do not clearly draw specific strategies for patients with renal dysfunction (RD).
Aim: The aim of this study is to compare primary PCI (PPCI) and thrombolysis results as well as in-hospital mortality after successful reperfusion between the RD patients (RD+) and patients with normal renal function (RD-).
