Background: One major barrier to HIV cure is the persistence of virus, possibly linked to an insufficient antiretroviral drug (ARV) distribution into tissues.
Objectives: To draw the whole-body distribution of three antiretroviral drugs-tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, emtricitabine and dolutegravir-in non-human primates (NHPs).
Methods: Eight uninfected NHPs received a single injection of a solution containing the three ARVs.
Professional, social, and cultural issues and phenomena of veterinary practice are now established areas of commentary and interest in research, education, professional publications and even in the mainstream media. Despite the availability of theoretically informed literature in diverse relevant domains and disciplines including professional practice, workplace learning, and medical sociology and anthropology, commentary and research on veterinary practice issues and phenomena remains dominated by clinician-educators and clinician-policymakers. Reflecting the clinical disciplinary traditions, there is a resulting over-representation of individualistic, positivist perspectives and under-theorized research studies.

This study evaluates outcome after cryoballoon ablation for AF in HFpEF compared with patients without heart failure.
Methods: A total of 102 AF patients with left ventricular ejection fraction ≥50% undergoing cryoballoon ablation were prospectively enrolled.
Our lives (and deaths) have by now been dominated for two years by COVID-19, a pandemic that has caused hundreds of millions of disease cases, millions of deaths, trillions in economic costs, and major restrictions on our freedom. Here we suggest a novel tool for controlling the COVID-19 pandemic. The key element is a method for a population-scale PCR-based testing, applied on a systematic and repeated basis.

Recently, many approaches for an automatic classification of cardiac arrhythmia were proposed and to our knowledge none of them can distinguish between these two. In this study, detection rate of SARS-CoV-2 in mouthwash samples and buccal swabs were compared in both children and adults.
Material And Methods: In patients admitted to hospital with confirmed COVID-19 within the previous 72 hours, NP and buccal swabs as well as mouthwash samples were collected.
This is the second of two articles that together comprise an orientation and introduction to qualitative research for veterinary medical educators who may be new to research, or for those whose research experience is based on the quantitative traditions of biomedicine. Physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling is a non-invasive solution for understanding lymph node penetration of ARVs across multiple species.
Objectives: To develop customized PBPK models with a novel lymph node compartment, and use these models to describe the distribution of three ARVs-tenofovir, emtricitabine and efavirenz-into the plasma and lymph nodes of non-human primates (NHPs) and humans.
SZV 1287 (3-(4,5-diphenyl-1,3-oxazol-2-yl)propanal oxime) is a novel multi-target candidate under preclinical development for neuropathic pain. It inhibits amine oxidase copper containing 3, transient receptor potential ankyrin 1 and vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) receptors. Mainly under acidic conditions, it is transformed to the cyclooxygenase inhibitor oxaprozin, which is ineffective for neuropathy.
