Despite significant advancements in the development of psychotropic medications, increasing adherence rates remain a challenge in the treatment and management of psychiatric disorders. The purpose of this study is to qualitatively explore the challenges underlying medication adherence and strategies to improve it among adolescents with psychiatric disorders in Malaysia. This qualitative research design presents results from 17 semi-structured interviews with adolescent psychiatric patients, aged 11 to 19 years old, from public hospitals across Peninsular Malaysia.

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus (DM) presents a formidable global health challenge, with conventional treatments often accompanied by limitations and adverse effects. Moreover, accessibility and affordability of conventional treatments remain barriers for many individuals, particularly in low-resource settings. Hence, there is a compelling need to explore alternative therapeutic modalities, such as Unani medicine, which offer the potential for effective management of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) while potentially mitigating these drawbacks.

In light of the ongoing pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2, effective and clinically translatable treatments are desperately needed for COVID-19 and its emerging variants. In this study, some derivatives, including 7β-aminocholestene compounds, and 3β-acetoxy-6-nitrocholesta-4,6-diene were synthesized, in quantitative yields from 7β-bromo-6-nitrocholest-5-enes (1-3) with a small library of amines. The synthesized steroidal products were then thoroughly characterized using a range of physicochemical techniques, including IR, NMR, UV, MS, and elemental analysis.

A systematic literature search of English language publications, from inception through December 2021, was conducted from PubMed, Scopus, and MEDLINE databases.

The impact of prehabilitation in upper gastrointestinal cancer underwent major surgery.

Introduction: Several risk factors found to be associated with postoperative complications and cancer surgery, which carry a significant morbidity risk to cancer patients. Therefore, prehabilitation is necessary to improve the functional capability and nutritional status of a patient prior to surgery, so that the patient can withstand any postoperative activity and associated deterioration. Reaction of 7α-bromo-6-nitrocholest-5-enes with hydrazine: Formation of steroidal pyrazolines and molecular docking against SARS-CoV-2 omicron protease.

The present work reports simple and effective protocol for preparing 6α-nitro-5α-cholestano[7α,5-cd] pyrazolines (4-7) by the reaction of 7α-bromo-6-nitrocholest-5-enes (1-3) with hydrazine hydrate under reflux [the substrate (2) gave products (5) and (6) and the later on acetylation with ACO/Py gave (7)]. In the case of reaction of 3β-hydroxy analogue (3) with hydrazine, however, 6α-nitro-5α-cholestano [3α,5-cd] pyrazoline (8) and 6α-nitro-3β, 5-oxido-5β-cholestane (9) were obtained. The probable mechanism of the formation of pyrazolines has also been outlined.

Embedded implementation research (IR) is an approach to health systems strengthening in which (a) generation and use of research is led by decision-makers and implementers; (b) local context, priorities, and system complexity are taken into account; and (c) research is an integrated and systematic part of decision-making and implementation. By addressing research questions of direct relevance to programs, embedded IR increases the likelihood of evidence-informed policies and programs, with the ultimate goal of improving child health and nutrition.
