In situ vaccination (ISV) triggers antitumor immune responses using the patient's own cancer antigens, yet limited neoantigen release hampers its efficacy. Our novel combination therapy involves low-dose local cisplatin followed by ISV with a TLR7/8/9 agonist formulation (CR108), in which CR108 boosts and sustains the antitumor responses induced by the cisplatin-released neoantigens. In mouse models, the cisplatin+CR108 combination significantly outperformed cisplatin or CR108 alone in abrogating established 4T1 and B16 tumors.

Background And Objective: Reports have suggested the use of intravenous infusion of vasopressors as an approach to prevent spinal anesthesia-induced hypotension (SAIH) in women undergoing cesarean deliveries. However, data on the suitability of this technique for obese people are limited. As such, the current experiment was designed to clarify the dose-response relationship associated with the preventive administration of phenylephrine to avoid SAIH during cesarean delivery in obese parturients under combined spinal-epidural anesthesia.

The POU2F3-POU2AF2/3 transcription factor complex is the master regulator of the tuft cell lineage and tuft cell-like small cell lung cancer (SCLC). Here, we identify a specific dependence of the POU2F3 molecular subtype of SCLC (SCLC-P) on the activity of the mammalian switch/sucrose non-fermentable (mSWI/SNF) chromatin remodeling complex. Treatment of SCLC-P cells with a proteolysis targeting chimera (PROTAC) degrader of mSWI/SNF ATPases evicts POU2F3 and its coactivators from chromatin and attenuates downstream signaling.

Human cases of avian influenza virus (AIV) infections are associated with an age-specific disease burden. As the influenza virus N2 neuraminidase (NA) gene was introduced from avian sources during the 1957 pandemic, we investigate the reactivity of N2 antibodies against A(H9N2) AIVs. Serosurvey of healthy individuals reveal the highest rates of AIV N2 antibodies in individuals aged ≥65 years.

ConspectusSulfur-based cathode materials have become a research hot spot as one of the most promising candidates for next-generation, high-energy lithium batteries. However, the insulating nature of elemental sulfur or organosulfides has become the biggest challenge that leads to dramatic degradation and hinders their practical application. The disadvantage is more obvious for all-solid-state battery systems, which require both high electronic and ionic migration at the same sites to realize a complete electrochemical reaction.
