Background: Teleultrasound has gained significant traction in clinical practice in recent years. However, studies focusing on remote interventional ultrasound remain limited.
Objectives: To evaluate the feasibility and accuracy of percutaneous puncture using a robot-assisted teleultrasound-guided interventional system (RTIS).
Introduction: Plasma cell leukemia (PCL) is a rare malignancy with poor overall survival (OS). Recently, its diagnostic criteria were revised by lowering the threshold of circulating plasma cells from ≥ 20% to ≥ 5%.
Methods: Between 2010 and 2024, patients with primary PCL (pPCL) and secondary PCL (sPCL) were identified at a tertiary center.
Epigenetic regulation has emerged as a promising therapeutic strategy for lung cancer treatment, which can facilitate the antitumor responses by modulating epigenetic dysregulation of target proteins in lung cancer. The proteolysis-targeting chimera (PROTAC) reagent, dBET6 shows effective inhibition of bromodomain-containing protein 4 (BRD4) that exerts antitumor efficacy by degrading BRD4 via the ubiquitin-proteasome system. Nevertheless, the low tissue specificity and bioavailability impede its therapeutic effects and clinical translation on lung cancer treatment.

Insulin resistance (IR) is a predictor of cardiac morbidity and mortality. A single-center, cross-sectional study using S/P Fontan and controls was designed to assess IR S/P Fontan.

In this work, porous and non-porous HHB-Cu (HHB=hexahydroxybenzene), derived through surfactant-assisted synthesis are studied as representative 2D c-MOF models with different characteristics, showing diverse reversible redox reactions with Na and Li in aqueous (10 M NaNO) and organic (1.0 M LiPF in ethylene carbonate and dimethyl carbonate) electrolytes, respectively.

However, JAKi are not without risk, and their use is not appropriate for all patients with AD, making this a medication class that dermatologists should understand and consider when treating patients with moderate-to-severe AD.
Objectives: To provide a consensus expert opinion statement from the International Eczema Council (IEC) that provides a pragmatic approach to prescribing JAKi, including choosing appropriate patients and dosing, clinical and laboratory monitoring and advice about long-term use.
Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy showed preliminary activity in patients with refractory or relapsed T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (r/r T-ALL). However, many obstacles remain, including manufacturing difficulties and risk of infections. This phase I study (NCT04840875) evaluated autologous CD7 CAR-T cells manufactured without pre-selection of healthy T cells in r/r T-ALL.

Modified vaccinia Ankara (MVA) vaccine use reduced disease in at-risk populations but failed to deliver complete protection. Lag in manufacturing and distribution of MVA resulted in additional MPXV spread, with 12,000 reported cases in 2023 and an additional outbreak in Central Africa of clade I virus.

HCMV vaccine candidates containing gB have demonstrated moderate clinical efficacy, but no HCMV vaccine has been approved. Here, we used structure-based design to identify and characterize amino acid substitutions that stabilize gB in its metastable prefusion conformation.

While the antidepressant-like effects of polysaccharides (PSPs) have been observed in mice, their potential effectiveness involving microglial regulation remains unknown. This study investigates the antidepressant-like mechanism of PSP by regulating microglial phenotype and signaling pathways in the prefrontal cortex of chronic restraint stress (CRS)-induced mice.

This study examined 1275 tree plots using the field survey method to quantify the effects of tree diversity, tree sizes, and mycorrhizal symbiont abundance on biomass carbon storages (C) and NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index)-based ecosystem stability (standard deviation/mean NDVI = NDVI_S) during the field survey period from 2008 to 2018. Our data showed C and NDVI_S averaged at 31-108 t ha and 32.

The purpose of the study was to examine the connection between in-hospital mortality in patients with ATAAD upon admission and the Pan-Immune-Inflammation Value (PIV).
Patients And Methods: 308 patients who were diagnosed with ATAAD between September 2018 and October 2021 at Fujian Provincial Center for Cardiovascular Medicine had their clinical data retrospectively examined.
Objective: Previous observational studies have indicated associations between various immune cells and diabetic nephropathy (DN). However, the causality remains unclear. We aimed to further evaluate the causal association between immune cells and DN using bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis.

This study aimed to develop a clinically applicable automatic ASPECTS system employing deep learning (DL).
Methods: This study enrolled 1987 NCCT scans that were retrospectively collected from four centers between January 2017 and October 2021.
This study presents the utilization of a novel, highly lipophilic nitric oxide (NO) donor molecule, S-nitroso-1-adamantanethiol (SNAT), for developing an NO-emitting polymer surface aimed at preventing thrombus formation and bacterial infection in extracorporeal circuits (ECCs). S-nitroso-1-adamantanethiol, a tertiary nitrosothiol-bearing adamantane species, was synthesized, characterized, and used to impregnate polyvinyl chloride (PVC) tubing for subsequent in vivo evaluation. The impregnation process with SNAT preserved the original mechanical strength of the PVC.

Although microvascular dysfunction is a common feature, it is difficult to assess. This study aimed to explore myocardial transit time (MyoTT) by cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) as a potential novel parameter of microcirculatory dysfunction in CA.

Antibodies targeting IL-23 and IL-17 have shown clinical efficacy but are limited by high costs, safety risks, lack of sustained efficacy, and poor patient convenience as they require parenteral administration. Here, we present designed miniproteins inhibiting IL-23R and IL-17 with antibody-like, low picomolar affinities at a fraction of the molecular size.

The present investigation provides a quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) analysis of amyloid fluid biomarkers and cognitive results from a 2-year ALZ-801 Phase 2 trial in APOE4 carriers with early AD.
Methods: The single-arm, open-label phase 2 study evaluated effects of ALZ-801 265 mg two times daily (BID) on cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma amyloid fluid biomarkers over 104 weeks in APOE4 carriers with early AD [Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) ≥ 22].
