Objective: To investigate the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics and potential influencing factors of newly diagnosed echinococcosis cases in Qinghai Province from 2016 to 2022, so as to provide insights into the formulation of the echinococcosis control strategy in Qinghai Province.

Methods: The number of individuals screened for echinococcosis, number of newly diagnosed echinococcosis cases, number of registered dogs and number of stray dogs were captured from the annual reports of echinococcosis control program in Qinghai Province from 2016 to 2022, and the detection of newly diagnosed echinococcosis cases was calculated. The number of populations, precipitation, temperature, wind speed, sunshine hours, average altitude, number of year-end cattle stock, number of year-end sheep stock, gross domestic product (GDP) per capita, and number of village health centers in each county (district) of Qinghai Province were captured from the , and county-level electronic maps in Qinghai Province were downloaded from the National Platform for Common Geospatial Information Services.

Objective: To investigate the spatial distribution characteristics of the prevalence of advanced schistosomiasis and seroprevalence of anti- antibody, and to examine the correlation between the prevalence of advanced schistosomiasis and seroprevalence of anti- antibody in Hunan Province in 2020, so as to provide insights into advanced schistosomiais control in the province.

Methods: The epidemiological data of schistosomiasis in Hunan Province in 2020 were collected, including number of permanent residents in survey villages, number of advanced schistosomiasis patients, number of residents receiving serological tests and number of residents seropositive for anti- antibody, and the prevalence advanced schistosomiasis and seroprevalence of anti- antibody were descriptively analyzed. Village-based spatial distribution characteristics of prevalence advanced schistosomiasis and seroprevalence of anti- antibody were identified in Hunan Province in 2020, and the correlation between the revalence advanced schistosomiasis and seroprevalence of anti- antibody was examined using Spearman correlation analysis.

Repeat elements can be dysregulated at a genome-wide scale in human diseases. For example, in Ewing sarcoma, hundreds of inert GGAA repeats can be converted into active enhancers when bound by EWS-FLI1. Here we show that fusions between EWS and GGAA-repeat-targeted engineered zinc finger arrays (ZFAs) can function at least as efficiently as EWS-FLI1 for converting hundreds of GGAA repeats into active enhancers in a Ewing sarcoma precursor cell model.

To evaluate the feasibility of 4-dimensional magnetic resonance imaging (4DMRI) in establishing the target of primary liver cancer in comparison with 4-dimensional computed tomography (4DCT). A total of 23 patients with primary liver cancer who received radiotherapy were selected, and 4DCT and T2w-4DMRI simulations were conducted to obtain 4DCT and T2w-4DMRI simulation images. This study investigated effects of waste activated sludge (WAS) after anaerobic cultivation as inoculum on solid-state anaerobic digestion (SSAD) of agricultural wastes. WAS was anaerobically cultivated for 0, 20 and 50 days and then used as inoculum for co-digestion at substrate/inoculum (S/I) ratios of 2 and 4, respectively. Results showed that treatments inoculated with cultivated WAS exhibited better buffering capability.

Effects of methanogenic community of inoculum (liquid anaerobic digestion effluent (L-AD effluent), waste activated sludge (WAS), and anaerobic granular sludge (AGS)) and substrate/inoculum ratio (S/I) on reactor performance in solid state anaerobic digestion (SS-AD) were investigated. L-AD effluent, which can provide sufficient microbes and enough buffering capacity to the reactor at an S/I ratio of 6, was found to quickly initiate SS-AD processes.
