Laser particles (LPs) emitting narrowband spectra across wide spectral ranges are highly promising for high-multiplex optical barcoding. Here, we present LPs based on indium phosphide (InP) nanodisks, operating in the near-infrared wavelength range of 740-970 nm. Utilizing low-order whispering gallery resonance modes in size-tuned nanodisks, we achieved an ultrawide color palette with 27% bandwidth utilization and nanometer-scale linewidth.

However, contemporary real-world (rw) data among patients receiving this treatment are necessary to understand clinical outcomes and optimal treatment sequencing. This retrospective cohort study analyzed rw treatment patterns and clinical outcomes, including overall survival (rwOS) and progression-free survival (rwPFS), in patients with la/mUC receiving avelumab 1LM.

Methods: In this phase 3 trial, we randomly assigned patients, in a 1:1 ratio, to receive pembrolizumab at a dose of 200 mg every 3 weeks for 1 year or to undergo observation.
Immunotherapy is likely the most remarkable advancement in lung cancer treatment during the past decade. Although immunotherapy provides substantial benefits, their therapeutic responses differ from those of conventional chemotherapy and targeted therapy, and some patients present unique immunotherapy response patterns that cannot be judged under the current measurement standards. Therefore, the response monitoring of immunotherapy can be challenging, such as the differentiation between real response and pseudo-response.

Here, we elucidate in vitro some of the mechanisms by which rAAV2-sVEGFRv-1 exerts its therapeutic effects. Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) were infected with rAAV2-sVEGFRv-1 or a control virus vector in the presence of members of the VEGF family to identify potential binding partners via ELISA, which showed that VEGF-A, VEGF-B, and placental growth factor (PlGF) are all ligands of its transgene product.

We compared the usefulness of D-SOC and D-POC for the diagnosis of intraductal superficial lesions of the bile duct (ISL-Bs).
Methods: 38 consecutive patients with suspected biliary diseases who underwent both D-SOC and D-POC were enrolled.

We used transcriptome analysis and molecular experiments to examine host cell responses in human A549, HEK293, and monkey MARC-145 cell lines infected with the Shaan virus (ShaV/B16-40).

We have developed a machine learning (ML)-assisted system that uses HR data collected from wearable devices to predict the occurrence of thyrotoxicosis in patients. HR monitoring data were collected using a wearable device for a period of 4 months in 175 patients with thyroid dysfunction.

Although IOP is controlled pharmacologically, no treatment is available to restore retinal and optic nerve function. In this paper, we aimed to develop a novel gene therapy for glaucoma using an AAV2-based thioredoxin 2 (Trx2)-exoenzyme C3 transferase (C3) fusion protein expression vector (scAAV2-Trx2-C3).

Ninety-two eligible patients were randomly assigned in a 3:1 ratio to receive the combination of ipilimumab and nivolumab, or ipilimumab alone. The primary endpoint was progression-free survival.

Objective: To develop an international robotic-specific classification of renal masses for preoperative assessment of surgical difficulty of robotic PN.
Background The 2017 international consensus guidelines for intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) of the pancreas are widely used. Purpose To evaluate the interobserver agreement and diagnostic performance of MRI assessment in predicting the malignant potential of IPMN according to radiologists' experience. Materials and Methods This multicenter retrospective study included 100 patients with pathologically proven pancreatic IPMN (77 patients with surgery, 23 patients with biopsy) who underwent contrast-enhanced MRI between 2016 and 2021.

Objective: The aim of this paper is to validate the performance of artificial intelligence-based quantitative coronary angiography (AI-QCA) in comparison with that of intravascular ultrasound (IVUS).
Cowpea ( (L.), 2 = 22) is a tropical crop grown in arid and semiarid regions that is tolerant to abiotic stresses such as heat and drought. However, in these regions, salt in the soil is generally not eluted by rainwater, leading to salt stress for a variety of plant species.

Methods: In a phase 2 trial, we randomly assigned patients with clinically detectable, measurable stage IIIB to IVC melanoma that was amenable to surgical resection to three doses of neoadjuvant pembrolizumab, surgery, and 15 doses of adjuvant pembrolizumab (neoadjuvant-adjuvant group) or to surgery followed by pembrolizumab (200 mg intravenously every 3 weeks for a total of 18 doses) for approximately 1 year or until disease recurred or unacceptable toxic effects developed (adjuvant-only group). The primary end point was event-free survival in the intention-to-treat population.
Breast density is an independent risk factor for breast cancer. In digital mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis, breast density is assessed visually using the four-category scale developed by the American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (5th edition as of November 2022). Epidemiologically based risk models, such as the Tyrer-Cuzick model (version 8), demonstrate superior modeling performance when mammographic density is incorporated.
