Using traditional machine learning (ML) methods may produce results that are inconsistent with the laws of physics. In contrast, physics-based models of complex physical, biological, or engineering systems incorporate the laws of physics as constraints on ML methods by introducing loss terms, ensuring that the results are consistent with these laws. However, accurately deriving the nonlinear and high order differential equations to enforce various complex physical laws is non-trivial.

Article Synopsis
  • Phage therapy is a new way to fight germs that are super tough against antibiotics, especially in hospitals.
  • Scientists are figuring out how to create special mixes of viruses called phages that can target specific strains of a dangerous germ called Acinetobacter baumannii.
  • By studying where these germs are found in the world, researchers can prepare special phage treatments for different regions, which has been shown to work well in tests and with animals.

The cornerstone of ovarian cancer treatment is complete surgical cytoreduction. The gold-standard option in the absence of extra-abdominal metastases and intra-abdominal inoperable circumstances is primary cytoreductive surgery (CRS). However, achieving complete cytoreduction is challenging, and only possible in a selected patient population.

Vine disease detection is considered one of the most crucial components in precision viticulture. It serves as an input for several further modules, including mapping, automatic treatment, and spraying devices. In the last few years, several approaches have been proposed for detecting vine disease based on indoor laboratory conditions or large-scale satellite images integrated with machine learning tools.

Non-enzyme-catalyzed thiol addition onto the α,β-unsaturated carbonyl system is associated with several biological effects. Kinetics and diastereoselectivity of non-enzyme catalyzed nucleophilic addition of reduced glutathione (GSH) and N-acetylcysteine (NAC) to the six-membered cyclic chalcone analogs and were investigated at different pH values (pH 3.2, 7.
