Partners' Perspectives on the Impact of Cancer on Romantic Relationships and Marriage in Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivors.

This study aims to explore the impact of cancer on romantic relationships and marriage from the perspective of partners of adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors. Semistructured interviews were conducted with 10 partners, of any gender and cancer type, who entered into a relationship or decided to marry after the AYA's cancer diagnosis. Three key themes emerged regarding the impact of cancer on romantic relationships and marriage: no change or impact, positive impact, and anxiety.

However, the factors contributing to deterioration in quality of life remain unclear. Hypomelanosis of Ito (HI), a neurocutaneous syndrome, is characterized by skin depigmentation and skeletal, muscular, central nervous system, cardiac, and renal manifestations. A wide variety of cutaneous manifestations besides depigmentation have been reported. Herein we describe a 23-year-old woman with HI whose extracutaneous symptoms included severe mental and motor impairment, convulsions, and deformity of the orofacial region.

Introduction Lymphocele is a typical complication of pelvic lymph node dissection (PLND) in robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP). This study aimed to compare postoperative lymphatic leakage between the polymer ligation clip and vessel sealer, and evaluated the costs associated with the former. Methods The study enrolled patients who underwent RARP with PLND at our institution between April 2018 and March 2023 and were treated with a vessel sealer (LigaSure Blunt Tip 44 NC; Medtronic, Dublin, Ireland) until September 2021, and Hem-o-lok polymer ligation clips(Teleflex, Wayne, PA, USA) thereafter.
