This systematic review (registration number: CRD42021248309) aims to synthesise the available evidence on Respiratory Syncytial Virus-related hospitalisations among children aged 0 to 6 years in Italy.

Methods: The literature search was conducted on PubMed, Embase, Scopus, and International HTA, covering the period from January 2000 to July 2022, with a focus on studies that reported information on Respiratory Syncytial Virus-associated hospitalisation in children aged 0-6 years in Italy.

After mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), a subgroup of individuals experience persistent post-concussion symptoms (PPCS) that include headaches, cognitive difficulties, and fatigue. The aim of this preliminary study was to investigate possible effects associated with metacognitive therapy (MCT) on PPCS, maladaptive coping strategies, and positive and negative metacognitive beliefs following mTBI. A pre-post design supplemented with single-case A-B replication series to assess potential MCT mechanisms was used.

Background: E-cigarette use is now prevalent among adolescents and young adults, raising concerns over potential adverse long-term health effects. Although it is hypothesised that e-cigarettes promote inflammation, studies have yielded conflicting evidence. Our previous work showed that JUUL, a popular e-cigarette brand, elicited minimal lung inflammation but induced significant molecular changes in adult C57BL/6 mice.

APOE-ɛ4 is a genetic risk factor for Alzheimer's disease (AD). AD is associated with reduced cerebral blood flow (CBF) and with microvascular changes that limit the transport of oxygen from blood into brain tissue: reduced microvascular cerebral blood volume and high relative transit time heterogeneity (RTH). Healthy APOE-ɛ4 carriers reveal brain regions with CBF compared with carriers of the common ɛ3 allele.

Environmental health literacy (EHL) is a rather recent concept that applies health literacy skills to environmental issues. Research in this field is still at the beginning, and there is currently no existing tool in the literature designed to comprehensively assess individual general EHL among university students. The aim of our study is to fill this gap through the validation of the Environmental Health Literacy Index (EHLI) in such a target group.
