Introduction: In the Republic of Serbia the activity of general hospitals has not been sufficiently evaluated.
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate, by analyzing the basic indicators of general hospitals condition and functioning, the network, utilization and efficacy of general hospitals for further improvement of their organization and work.
Methods: The paper is a part of a retrospective-prospective analysis of hospital healthcare services which we performed in 2011.
Purpose: To estimate short-term and long-term influence of protracted stress caused by the NATO bombing of Serbia on self-reported cigarette smoking, we performed and analyzed smoking survey data.
Materials And Methods: The survey included 320 adult citizens from Sombor, Novi Sad, and Belgrade, three cities that were bombed during the NATO campaign along with other Serbian target cities. We queried participants about their smoking habits before, during, and 8 years after the military intervention.

Objective: We have developed a short-course, home-based, rehabilitation programme of physical exercise for lower limb muscles, based on walking at patients' fastest pace. The aim of the study was to investigate the effectiveness of such a programme regarding the exercise tolerance, pulmonary functions and quality of life.
