Background: Calcium ions play a key role in the heart's functional activity. The steadystate levels of calcium are contingent on the calcium regulating hormonal system, impairment of which might result in the development of cardiac pathology. Background And Aim: A drawback of studies on bat blood smears in the field is the lack of time for fixation because blood sampling using a non-lethal method often provides less time for fixation in smear preparations due to the small volume of blood collected. Usually, there is insufficient blood for another smear preparation, so it is necessary to use blood smears as rationally as possible, especially for rare bats. Many stains are used for staining peripheral blood smears, and they have advantages and disadvantages.

Growing evidence suggests an important role of the inflammatory component in heart failure (HF). Recent developments in this field indicate an ambiguous role that innate immunity plays in immune-driven HF. Damaged or stressed cells, cardiomyocytes, in particular, emit damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) including HMGB1, S100 A8/A9, HSP70, and other molecules, unfolding paracrine mechanisms that induce an innate immune response.

The spatial distribution of acid membrane organelles and their relationships with normal and vacuolated transverse tubules has been studied in living frog skeletal muscle fibres using confocal microscopy. Acridine orange (AO) was used to evaluate acid compartments, while a lipophilic styryl dye, RH 414, was employed to stain the membranes of the T-system. AO accumulated in numerous spherical granules located near the poles of nuclei and between myofibrils where they were arranged in short parallel rows, triplets or pairs.
