Background: Helicobacter pylori (Hp) and gastric atrophy represent significant risk factors for gastric cancer. Nevertheless, to date no nomogram has been developed to predict gastric cancer based on the specific combination of risk factors, present in individual cases.
Methods: A retrospective-cohort study was conducted using health-screening data collected between 2003 and 2018.
We present a method for developing high-strength, sustainable yarns from microbial biofilms with minimal processing and chemical use. Inspired by the japanese "kami-ito" () technique for creating yarns from paper, we introduce an eco-friendly alternative to cotton and industrially-produced man-made cellulose fibers using a microbial cellulose source. We culture and dye bacterial cellulose biofilms that we used to produce yarns with tensile strengths of up to 200 MPa (55 MPa in the wet state).

We show that colorectal cancer (CRC) with loss-of-function mutation in the APC tumor suppressor depends on an oncogenic translation program regulated by the ability to sense phosphorylated eIF2α (p-eIF2α). Despite increased protein synthesis rates following APC loss, eIF2α phosphorylation, typically associated with translation inhibition, is enhanced in CRC.

We provide an overview of eosinophilic lung diseases and underline challenges in diagnosis and management of those diseases. Furthermore, we discuss the severity classification of EGPA and provide insight into the current treatment regimen.
