Objective: This study was aimed to analyze 10 pediatric cases of pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS) of the knee to elucidate their clinical features, diagnosis, treatments, and prognosis for providing reference regarding its clinical management in children.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was made pertaining to the clinical manifestations, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings, pathology, immunohistochemical results, treatment methods, and follow-up outcomes of 10 pediatric PVNS patients of the knee treated from January 2022 to January 2024 at our hospital. They were compared and analyzed with existing literature.

Sesquiterpene synthases (STSs) catalyze carbocation cascade reactions with various hydrogen shifts and cyclization patterns that generate structurally diverse sesquiterpene skeletons. However, the molecular basis for hydrogen shifts and cyclizations, which determine STS product distributions, remains enigmatic. In this study, an elusive STS SydA was identified in the biosynthesis of sydonol, which synthesized a new bisabolene-type sesquiterpene with a unique saturated terminal pendant isopentane.

Dairy goats, a livestock species with a long history of milk production, are essential for the economic advancement of nations, particularly in regions experiencing growth. In this study, we gathered whole-genome resequencing data of 58 goats, including 34 dairy goats and 24 wild goats (Bezoar), to explore the selection signatures linked to milk production traits using ROH (Runs of homozygosity), CLR (composite likelihood ratio), Fst (Fixation index), XP-EHH (Ex-tended haplotype homozygosity across populations) and XP-CLR(Cross-population composite likelihood ratio test) methods. Analysis of five tests of selection signatures for dairy goats revealed a total of 210 genes, with 24 genes consistently identified in at least two approaches.

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs) are a family of RNA-binding proteins that play crucial roles in RNA processing, transcriptional regulation, nucleocytoplasmic transport, and apoptosis. As a member of the hnRNP family, heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein M (hnRNPM) has been implicated in diverse cellular processes, including the regulation of tumor-associated gene expression, promotion of angiogenesis, enhancement of tumor cell invasion and metastasis, and modulation of RNA virus replication. However, the interaction between hnRNPM and pseudorabies virus (PRV) remains unexplored.

Lenvatinib is a prevalent treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), yet resistance to the drug significantly limits its effectiveness. This study investigates the role of FBXO32 (F-Box Protein 32) in HCC progression and lenvatinib resistance. Methods: We utilized the GSE211850 and GSE46408 datasets to identify an E3 ubiquitin ligase that is highly expressed in both lenvatinib-resistant HCC cells and HCC tissues.
