Background: Cholestasis plays a critical role in sepsis-associated liver injury (SALI). Intestine-derived fibroblast growth factor 19 (FGF19) is a key regulator for bile acid homeostasis. However, the roles and underlying mechanisms of FGF19 in SALI are still unclear.

Background: To evaluate the effect and factors associated with the reactivation of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) after intravitreal conbercept or aflibercept.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 176 eyes diagnosed with ROP and treated with anti-VEGF therapy between January 2018 and September 2022. The rate of reactivation and complications were assessed during the follow-up period.

Retinal biomarkers for the risk of Alzheimer's disease and frontotemporal dementia.

Purpose: Differentiating between Alzheimer's disease (AD) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD) can be challenging due to overlapping cognitive and behavioral manifestations. Evidence regarding non-invasive and early-stage biomarkers remains limited. Our aim was to identify retinal biomarkers for the risk of AD and FTD in populations without dementia and explore underlying brain structural mechanisms.

Phosphodiesterase 4B (PDE4B) plays a critical role in cAMP hydrolysis and is highly expressed in brain regions associated with neuroinflammation and central nervous system (CNS) disorders. Selective PDE4B radioligands hold significant potential for elucidating disease mechanisms, such as those in Parkinson's disease and schizophrenia, and enabling target occupancy measurements. In this study, we developed [ F]P4B-2412, a novel PDE4B-selective radioligand, and evaluated its utility for positron emission tomography imaging (PET).
