Tandem repeats (TRs) occupy a significant portion of the human genome and are a source of polymorphisms due to variations in sizes and motif compositions. Some of these variations have been associated with various neuropathological disorders, highlighting the clinical importance of assessing the motif structure of TRs. Moreover, assessing the TR motif variation can offer valuable insights into evolutionary dynamics and population structure.

Long-read sequencing allows for the accurate characterization of TRs; however, the underlying bioinformatics perspectives remain challenging. Lung Cancer Survival in Sri Lanka.

Nuradh Joseph  Lung cancer is the second commonest cancer among males in Sri Lanka. Real-world survival data are scarce, and we conducted a retrospective survival analysis among patients treated for lung cancer.  All patients with primary lung cancer treated at three selected units during 2015-2016 were included in the study.

Introduction: Esophageal carcinoma is the fourth most common cancer among males and sixth most common cancer among females in Sri Lanka.
