Background: Nurses play an essential role in patient safety. Inadequate nursing physical assessment and communication in handover practices are associated with increased patient deterioration, falls and pressure injuries. Despite internationally implemented rapid response systems, falls and pressure injury reduction strategies, and recommendations to conduct clinical handovers at patients' bedside, adverse events persist.

Background And Purpose: Metallic implants cause artefacts in computed tomography (CT) images and can introduce significant errors to structure visualisation and dosimetric calculation within the radiotherapy planning process. This study evaluated an orthopaedic metal artefact reduction algorithm and its effect on the CT number, image noise, structure delineation, and treatment dose.

Methods: Raw CT data were reconstructed using standard filtered back projection and an artefact reduction algorithm to create 'standard' and 'corrected' images.

Aims: Multiple re-entry circuits may operate simultaneously in the atria in the form of dual loop re-entry using a common isthmus, or multiple re-entrant loops without a common isthmus. When two or more re-entrant circuits coexist, ablation of an individual isthmus may lead to a seamless transition (without significant changes in surface electrocardiogram, coronary sinus activation or tachycardia cycle length) to a second rhythm, and the isthmus block can go unnoticed.

Methods And Results: We hypothesize and subsequently illustrate in three patient cases, methods to rapidly identify a transition in the rhythm and isthmus block using local electrogram changes at the ablation site.

Aims And Objectives: To report a qualitative inquiry exploring senior registered nurses' stories of experience working with new graduate nurses in the intensive care unit.

Background: While new graduate nurses' perceptions of transitioning into professional practice in the intensive care unit have been examined, few studies have explored the experiences of the senior registered nurses working alongside them.

Design: A narrative inquiry methodology informed by Dewey's (1938) theory of experience.
