Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic, relapsing inflammation disorder of the gastrointestinal tract characterized by disrupted intestinal epithelial barrier function. Despite advances in treatment, including biological agents, achieving sustained remission remains challenging for many patients with IBD. This highlights the urgent need for novel therapeutic strategies.

Diagnosis Related Payment for Inpatient Mental Health Care: Hospital Selection and Effects on Length of Stay.

We study a policy introducing diagnosis related payment for inpatient mental health care in Germany with rates decreasing over length of stay. Using data on all hospital cases, we first examine which hospitals voluntarily opt into the new scheme. We show that specialized hospitals that treat more complicated cases and are reimbursed more highly under the new scheme select into it.

Association Between Dairy Production System and Milk Functionality Based on Analysis of miRNAs in Exosomes from Milk.

Dairy farming practices significantly affect the nutritional and functional properties of milk. This study compares miRNAs in milk exosomes from extensive and intensive dairy systems and explores their potential implications for human consumers. Extensive systems are believed to produce milk of higher quality with better animal welfare compared to intensive systems.

Relationship of hub and treatment characteristics with client outcomes in the initial Washington State hub and spoke cohort.

Introduction: Washington State's Hub and Spoke (HS) approach aims to improve availability of opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment. Washington initially funded six hubs with expertise in medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) that built care networks with referral and treatment partners (spokes). We assessed outcomes for the initial HS cohort, considering the role of HS and treatment characteristics.
