Introduction And Purpose: Ensuring proper femoral component alignment post-Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) is crucial for normal patellofemoral (PF) kinematics. However, the customary 3° external rotation relative to the Posterior Condylar Axis (PC Axis) may not universally apply, and the expected final femoral component rotation remains unclear in functionally aligned knees. This study examines the relation between the Transepicondylar Axis (TEA) and PC axis, known as Posterior Condylar Angle (PCA) in Indian patients along with factors influencing PCA, and the feasibility of reproducing patient-specific PCA using image-guided Cuvis joint robot.

Traditional loss-of-function methods for studying miRNA functions, such as miRNA inhibitors and sponges, present limitations in terms of specificity, transient effects, and off-target effects. Similarly, CRISPR/Cas9-based editing of miRNAs using single guide RNAs (sgRNAs) also has limitations in terms of design space for generating effective gRNAs.

Base editing enables the precise installation of point mutations at specific genomic locations without the need for deleterious double-strand breaks used in the CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing methods. We created a bulk population of iPSCs that homogeneously express ABE8e adenine base editor enzyme under a doxycycline-inducible expression system at the AAVS1 safe harbor locus.

Objective: The Oxford Cognitive Screen (OCS) is a screening tool to assess stroke patients for deficits in attention, executive functions, language, praxis, numeric cognition, and memory. In this study, the OCS was culturally and linguistically adapted to Tamil, for use in India (OCS TA), considering the differences between formal and spoken versions of Tamil and consideration of its phonetic complexity.
Method: We adopted two-parallel form versions of the OCS and generated normative data for them.
COVID-19 continues to cause an increase in the number of cases and deaths worldwide. Due to the ever-mutating nature of the virus, frequent vaccination against COVID-19 is anticipated. Most of the approved SARS-CoV-2 vaccines are administered using the conventional intramuscular route, causing vaccine hesitancy.
