Prolonged use of antibiotics can cause toxicity in human and animal cells and lead to the development of antibiotic resistance. The development of drug delivery systems for enhanced antibacterial properties of antibiotics could reduce toxic effects and minimize the development of resistance. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of oxytetracycline in complexes with new polyphosphate ester-type transporters and to investigate the antimicrobial effect of these complexes on , , and growth in vitro.

Green-Emitting GdGaO: Tb Nanoparticles Phosphor: Synthesis, Structure, and Luminescence.

Nano- and microceramics of GdGaO garnet doped with 1 mol % Tb ions were synthesized via co-precipitation and high-temperature solid-state reaction methods. X-ray diffraction measurements confirmed the formation of the garnet structure with Ia3d space group in all investigated samples. Atomic force microscopy surface images and grain-size distribution diagrams of GdGaO: 1 mol % Tb nanoceramics with 300 and 400 g/mol of polyethylene glycol (PEG) were obtained.

Reactive hydrogel networks for the fabrication of metal-polymer nanocomposites.

In this study, highly stable gold and silver nanoparticles evenly distributed within a crosslinked poly(acrylamide)/poly(N-(hydroxymethyl)acrylamide) (PAAm-PHMAAm) network have been fabricated without addition of a reducing agent. Remarkably, the same chemical hydrogel composition has been involved in the successful fabrication of spherical gold and silver nanoparticles within the hydrogel template. The hydrogel network acts simultaneously as an efficient reducing agent and stabilizer.

[The determination of tetanus antitoxin by the latex agglutination reaction].

A new method to detect the protective value of antitetanic antibody in latex agglutination test (LAT) has been described. The new method is highly sensitive and fast, and requires no special equipment. The optimal conditions of sensibilization, latex types, test providing procedure have been selected.
