[Spontaneous mutagenesis in different strains of mice during aging].

The article is devoted the problem of mutagenesis during aging. There is identical affirmative dynamics of chromosome aberration frequencies in male of transgenic and control non-transgenic mice of age. Spontaneous chromosome aberration frequencies in somatic cells in young age differ in transgenic and control mice more, than in older mice.

Dynamics of chromosomal aberrations in male mice of various strains during aging.

We studied the incidence of chromosome aberrations in bone marrow cells and primary spermatocytes in various mouse strains. Experiments were performed on SAMP mice (accelerated aging), control SAMR mice, and long-living CBA and SHR mice. Experiments revealed a positive correlation between the age and the incidence of mutations in their somatic cells and gametes.

[Effect of plasmid pIJ350 on genetic stability of antibiotic production by Streptomyces bambergiensis].

It was shown that S. bambergiensis S800 was genetically instable with respect to the property of the antibiotic production (Ant) while in strain S712 of S. bambergiensis this property was stable.

[Transformation of Streptomyces bambergiensis S712 by plasmid DNA].

Optimal conditions for protoplast formation in the moenomycin-producing strain S712 of S. bambergiensis were developed. The protoplasts of this strain were transformed with DNA of plasmids pVG101 and pIJ350.
