It is very rare to see fungal arthritis and pyomyositis in immunocompetent patients. Here, we report a case of Scedosporium infection in an immunocompetent patient with interesting 18F-FDG PET/CT and 68Ga-NOTA UBI PET/CT findings.

Utility of Tau PET in the diagnostic work up of neurodegenerative dementia among Indian patients.

Background And Objectives: Tau PET is being increasingly appraised as a novel diagnostic modality for dementia work up. Given limited data among South Asians, we assessed the frequency, patterns, phenotypic associations and incremental value of positive Tau PET scans in clinically diagnosed neurodegenerative dementia.

Methods: This cross-sectional study recruited consecutive patients of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and non-AD syndromes (September 2021 to October 2022, India).

Efficacy of mHealth-Based Workplace Health Promotion Strategy in Improving Cardiorespiratory Fitness in a Healthcare Setting: A Randomized Controlled Study.

Objective: This study aimed to test the efficacy of a mHealth-based workplace health promotion strategy in improving cardiorespiratory fitness in a healthcare setting.

Methods: Seventy-seven female nurses (age, 30-45 years) meeting the inclusion criteria underwent baseline assessment and received either a 12-week mHealth or awareness intervention based on their workplace. Changes in peak oxygen consumption (VO 2 ), fasting blood sugar, and physical activity were compared within and between the groups at the end of the intervention.

1,2-Difunctionalization of Aryne with Sulfenamide and Organohalide: Mild and Metal-Free Access to -(-Halo)aryl Sulfilimine.

A mild and metal-free approach has been developed for 1,2-difunctionalization of aryne using sulfenamides as a nucleophile and a halogen source (CX) as an electrophile to synthesize -(-halo)aryl sulfilimines. The late-stage functionalizations of halide handles via Suzuki-Miyaura and Buchwald-Hartwig reactions exhibit the synthetic utilities of the products. The chemoselectivity, regioselectivity, rapidity, and use of economical CCl are the advantages of this protocol.

Facile synthesis of -(α-furanyl) alkyl sulfoximines gold catalyzed Michael addition/cyclization of enynones and sulfoximines.

Herein, we prepare a new array of -(α-furanyl) alkyl sulfoximines a gold catalyzed reaction of enynone with sulfoximine in moderate to very good yields. The reaction involves Michael addition of sulfoximine to enynone, followed by intramolecular cyclization. The presence of two chiral centres led to the formation of a mixture of diastereomers approximately in a 1 : 1 ratio.
