[Experience in teaching a biopsy-section course in Belarus].

The paper deals with the improvement of teaching a biopsy-section course (BSC). The authors have analyzed the most frequent errors in the interaction of clinicians with a pathology service and summed up the experience of the Pathological Anatomy Department in practical work and teaching the BSC. The differentiated approach to teaching the BSC to resident students of different specialties is proposed.

[Impact of Helicobacter pylori eradication on morphological changes in gastric mucosa].

The purpose of the study was to examine gastric mucosal morphological changes in patients with gastroduodenal pathology after eradication therapy for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori). A hundred and thirty-eight patients (40 females and 98 males) were examined.

[Diagnostic significance of ferritin assay in peritoneal fluid and gastric juice].

Ferritin was assayed by immunoradiometrical procedure in peritoneal fluid (26 patients with various ovarian pathologies) and gastric juice (18 patients with stomach cancer and 28 cases of gastric ulcer disease). It was found that diagnostic significance of ferritin measurements in peritoneal fluid in ovarian pathology is compromised by inflammation. Therefore, this marker cannot be used to differentiate between malignant and benign ovarian tumor.
