[Endoscopic diagnosis, treatment and prevention of intubation related injuries of the larynx and trachea in neurosurgical patients].

The goal of the study was to assess of efficacy of endoscopic diagnosis, prevention and treatment of intubation related larynx and tracheal injuries in patients with acute neurosurgical pathology and prolonged mechanical ventilation. 199 patients with different neurosurgical pathology were enrolled in the study group. Mean age was 50 +/- 14.

[Sepsis in patients with intracranial hemorrhage: incidence and influence on outcome].

The aim of the study is to analyze sepsis and septic shock incidence and their influence on the outcome in critically ill patients with intracranial hemorrhage. Sepsis incidence (33,7%) and septic shock incidence (18,6%) in the patients studied did not depend on intracranial hemorrhage etiology. Septic complications led to higher mortality which was 22,8% in patients with sepsis and 74,4% in patients with septic shock.

[The intra-aortic antibacterial therapy of wounded patients with gunshot meningoencephalitis].

The original decision of permanent introduction of antibacterial means to tissues of brain at gunshot meningoencephalitis is offered. For antibacterial therapy the intra-aortal catheter with diameter of 2,5 mm (through a.femoralis) was introduced.
